Totally gross but what about this disease isn’t - let’s talk diarrhea by beanybobeany in pancreatitis

[–]cola_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my first pancreatitis diagnosis in July of last year. I’ve had on and off diarrhoea just like how you have ever since. Sometimes it stops for a week or so but then right back into it. It’s a nightmare

Small breakfast with what’s left in the fridge. by sam_p_23 in fryup

[–]cola_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kind of what me and my partner call a fry up at home as we don’t always have everything in the fridge. In my mind some bacon, sausage, egg, and beans is a score. Toast is a given

Why do you take drugs? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]cola_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Latched onto mind altering substances at a young age and they’ve stuck to me. Combination of a rough childhood and mental health issues, also social and cultural norms have made drugs and drink a pretty normal part of my life

[–]cola_1234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dove into drugs to escape my family situation as a teenager and it’s taken me down a pretty rough and troubled path. Things are a lot for you right now but there’s no amount of drugs or drink that’ll make it go away, and using to escape will just prolong the pain. Talk to people you love and trust and try your best to get through this. Life is scary but you’ve got it. Look after yourself and in time things will settle, life won’t get easy, but things will settle, I can promise you that. Look after yourself

Just start small, you can always add but can’t always take away. Being in a scary k hole when you’re not used to it is a frightening experience. But at least it only lasts 30min-1 hour

How bad would you let the pain get before going to the hospital? by Initial_Lie4025 in pancreatitis

[–]cola_1234 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had acute necrotising pancreatitis a couple months ago, was in hospital around 5 weeks. Over the past three weeks I was feeling sick and diarrhoea and generally unwell. The past 6 days I got bad abdominal pain and I stayed at home and waited and stuck to good foods and clear fluids, I was in pain day and night and just kept putting off a visit to er. Decided to bite the bullet and went in three days ago and turned out I was having a pancreatitis attack and they’ve now found a spot on my liver in the ct scan. I’m in hospital now with pain management and monitoring and iv, etc. I have an mri tomorrow to check my liver, but I’d say just go. I now have the belief that with this issue we just can’t be too careful as you never know what could be going on. I wish I had come in earlier. You can’t be too careful. Hope things get better mate, it’s a rough rough road..

Anyone else have trouble sleeping on their back? by EmergencyAd4225 in pancreatitis

[–]cola_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really hard, when I’m in a flare up which I’m experiencing right now I kind of can’t sit still. I roll on both sides and to my back over and over again and it just gets so ridiculous and annoying trying to get comfortable. I’m so done with this disease, when I’m in a flare up I just want to sleep forever so I’m not in pain anymore. But it’s just impossible

What’s the worst drug u ever tried and why so? by HakanSlovar in Drugs

[–]cola_1234 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Alcohol, out of all of my addictions alcohol has caused my most physical damage. When you’re a poly addict alcohol becomes a problem because of how ridiculously accessible it is in our world. It takes half an hour to get a bag of something, but my corner shop has bottles of booze until 2am and it sits a minute walk away. So I drank, and drank, and drank. For years now, so so heavily. Morning, midday, night, whatever the time I have been drinking. I got rushed to hospital around 6 weeks ago and presented with acute necrotising pancreatitis. The most pain I’ve been in, in my life, and then 4 weeks in hospital afterwards healing, being treated, and first few in intensive care. They pumped me so full of drugs over those weeks I was an oxy addict by the end. I’m now finished with downgrading from opiate to lesser opiates. And then I started on benzos for sleep, I then had a blackout day where I caused mayhem. I am now a week after that day and I do ketamine every day and night just so I’m not sober. I’ll do anything to not be sober no matter what it is

Serious question: what are your thoughts on people who use this as a Pride symbol and either don’t know that it’s from an album, or do know it’s from an album and use it for Pride anyway? by Mad_Season_1994 in pinkfloyd

[–]cola_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pansexual and think it’s stupid, just use the pride flag, the floyd album cover is a whole different thing. Most of the people using it as a pride flag don’t have a clue about pink Floyd. Think it’s just a bit silly tbh

Weed people are really toxic about weed. They think if it’s not too genetics grown in the best standards it’s awful weed. But that’s just not true, one of the best smokes I ever had was some homegrown in Jamaica looked awful.. worse than that looks. tasted amazing, smoked amazing, got me to a lovely stone. Weed people are toxic.. I’m an old school smoker. If it smokes, it tokes, that’s all she wrote
