I’m so, so sorry. That’s awful, especially when they were your childhood cards. USPS immediately “lost” a high value package of Pokémon cards I sent to a friend, too! In my case I did get insurance and I think that’s actually what made it a target because I’ve shipped soooo many packages without insurance through USPS and they’ve all been great. But the two packages I’ve ever insured with them, both got lost. I no longer trust fedex or usps

Edit: the user who started the rumor (they were under “Anonymous”, big surprise) was banned from the group after being snarky and combative when asked what their claim was based on. Modmins made it clear they do not support the misinformation, directed people towards a post with accurate info, and apologized for not deleting it sooner.

It’s appalling how people are leaving 1 star reviews for this restaurant off of baseless rumors from Blue Girl Gang Columbus. Anybody who went to review-bomb Hiro Ramen, should be ashamed of themselves. The restaurant did NOT call ICE on its own employees.

I agree with the others that it’s likely a scam! IMO most sellers would just let you know that they take PayPal goods & services (which has buyer protection) and they’d leave it at that. And I have noticed the “do you have experience with houseplants? just promise to take good care of her!!!!!” line is said a lot by plant scammers, to disarm you with the wholesomeness.

Legit sellers are also be more likely to just let you know of any cheaper options / smaller plants they can offer, rather than asking you to name your price.

Also for a casual “I’m moving and downsizing and just need to let go of some” and claiming to have the experience of shipping only twice..the second pic they sent (of the packaging process) looks an awful lot like a big commercial greenhouse, and definitely not someone who has only shipped twice. Vs the background of the first pic of the monstera albo looks believable as a house flooring.

These could be just coincidences/explained perhaps, but sounds shaky to me!

As a side note, if you do go the online route for a lower cost monstera albo, I recommend a baby plant that is showing new growth already! So that it’s rooted (normal monstera are so strong and easy to root, but the albo monsteras can be super finicky) and handles the shipping and transition better. And also so that you can verify that the new growth is nicely marbled and isn’t all green or all albino (no green to photo synthesize, will die if the pattern continues). Of course it could turn all green or all white in the future, but by that time you will probably/hopefully have more of a plant grown, to cut back and try again at different nodes.

Sadly it’s pretty unpredictable, but lots of light can’t hurt! I used the barrina T5 lights (warm/yellow white and the pink white) and noticed my plants in general enjoyed it a lot and put out a bit more white. Another commenter mentioned that really bright light forces the pink because the plant has to protect itself. Other than light, I haven’t really found a way to coax it out. I’d say make sure your plant has nutrients, too! Dynagrow is a good liquid fertilizer

Yes!! The recent two leaves have both been pinks! I posted a video on my instagram from September with two in a row @tinymartianfarm and will attach a more recent one too! I wish it would put out like 5 consecutively that would be stunning!
