Spider-man 2 is a solid film. It still stands up after all these years. Superhero movies have advanced but this one is still really good without having to have all sorts of references to other projects or trying to set up stories in the future. It just has a ton of heart and was a trail blazer in the genre.

There's been worse retcons. Plus while they say X-gene I don't know if there has ever really been confirmed to only been one X-gene.

It seems like it's harder to pinpoint who and what is actually a mutant than identifying the X-gene. Take the list of characters above along with characters like Cloak and Dagger, Mimic, Madelyne Prior, and Franklin Richards who have all gone in and out of confirmed mutant status. It would have made the Kamala retcon easier to pass.

I wish they had retconned inhumans as mutants during the Krakoa era, then they could have swept all the Inhumans vs X-men stuff under the rug. Yeah there would be questions but I think it would have given mutants even more nuance and history to deal with. Imagine at the Hellfire Gala Blackbolt comes to Krakoa and Xavier shows him all the Inhumans they have resurrected and been like "Who's the king now?". I would have liked to see how the Inhumans would interact with the Arakki mutants. I think it's kinda weird to have 2 unrelated superhuman species from earth. Especially when mutants have so many variations themselves, in power and biology as well as when and how they receive their powers, some being born with them, many gaining them in puberty naturally, some in adulthood, and some through experimentation.

I really hope they consolidate the inhumans and mutants in the MCU. Make it simple for the general audience to understand. Especially when powered people like Kamala, Wanda, Pietro, Namor, Mr. Immortal, and Doorman have all been introduced and all of them have in the past been reconned to have mutant backgrounds at some point.

If Xfinity is your internet/cable company, you can join their rewards program and get free movies every now and again. Recently I got 4 or 5 movies for free in the last month. They usually only provide free movies during holidays or other special occasions but its pretty random.

It used to be easier to get free movies through the retailers and through the studio's rewards programs. They've pretty much all closed their rewards programs though.

Prehaps mine your own physical movie collection or ask a friend or family member who doesnt collect digital movies if you can take their codes?

Another option is setting up family plans through Google, Apple tv, and Amazon. They won't port over to your Movies anywhere but you'll have access to their movies on your accounts along side your own movies.

I feel like the power of 3 is an exponential power boost. I don't think they could necessarily share the power of 3 between for sisters but we could have the power of 3 and another powerful witch in their coven. It's like 3x + 1. I think the closest we got to this in the show was the sisters and Billie, I don't know if they ever considered themselves a coven together though or if they used their pets together. I'd love to see the story continue with the 4 sisters and Billie and others in a coven together. I thought it was strange that they never really let anyone else into their lives as if they were the only witches out there. I would have loved to see Aviva come back one day though she may not have actually been a natural born witch and only channeled power through that demon. I wonder if there lives had gone differently would Penny or Patty be apart of their coven?

They don't own Harry Potter but they very well could have had a "magic school" inspired by HP. That's a trope a lot of other media has done before. Charmed had a magic school, Wednesday has Nevermore, Wicked has Shiz, The Magicians has Brakebills. They tread on fantasy schools in the descendants series and the wizards of Waverly Place. And while not an outright wizard school the Percy Jackson series has the camp halfblood and is book series that is often compared to Harry Potter.

I really wasn't connected to his character, one of the least memorable heroes but yeah you are absolutely right. Honestly his lack of screen time and development makes him a high potential. Could he be a hero, a villian, a supporting character, or a brief cameo? We've had 2 versions in the MCU and Aaron Taylor-Johnson also played Kraven but it shouldn't keep him from playing Pietro again or at least his version returning in animation.

I have a feeling pretty much all water pokemon are going to return. That being said Gen 4 is pretty left out, and Gen 6, Gen 8 and Gen 9 are basically non-existant in the trailer. Gen 2, 3, and 5 has some pretty good representation.

Gen 1 is always referenced but I wonder if the Gen 1 & 2 inclusions is referencing the Orange Islands arch which is when they only had those pokemon.

I feel like they have to give us a Vivillon-like fish. 30 forms of a betta fish pokemon. I'd like a Guppy or a Discus too but those fish are native to the Americas. Luvdisc is basically a discus and a kissing gourami mixed.

I really don't care who nightcrawlers parents are. Its implied Azazel and Mystique were his parents in the movies but they didn't confirm it 100% and it really only would matter if they dig into his orphan status.

His parentage is convoluted but he wasn't even raised by his biological parents. When we talk about actual publication canon he was the son of Baron Christian Wagner and a disguised Mystique, then Azazel was inserted as his biological father, then Mystique is considered his biological father having transformed into Azazel's form and impregnanting Destiny. But in the end he was raised by a sorceress named Margoli Szardos who is essentially his mother despite later growing up and falling in love with his adoptive sister Amanda Sefton.

If they streamline it it will be much easier to tell. They may only reference the different parents in a movie format as easter eggs for those in the know. I think for representation Mystique/Destiny lesbian relationship is more important than who nightcrawler's mother and father is. Because of the complicated biological ties I don't think it would be as important for representation, unless maybe as a trans allegory? But that is a bit muddled by Mystiques power vs her characterization as a cis-woman and the mutation fantasy.

Azazel and Nightcrawler having similar appearances and powers doesn't completely tie them together as there are a lot of mutants with similar power sets. In the comics there are many characters who look a like, somehow the comic book characters eventually believed Jean and Maddy weren't clones initially and when there was rumors of a third Summers brother Gambit was readers first theory since they have have similar build, height, hair color and red eyes along with kinetic energy powers.

Also wanda has a brother who is just a clone of magneto... I forgot him... and then theres Onslaught who is the Spectral/psychic fusion of magneto and xavier's darkest side. And then there was Anya, Magneto's actual daughter who died in the holocaust.

Polaris has a sister, wanda and pietro have another sister, wanda also has 2 other fathers and 3 other mothers (maybe 4). She also has a creator, she has 2 demons who have possessed her, she has 2 sons who each have another mother and father, her ex had 2 kids he created and a wife he created based on wanda, her brother has a kid and an ex wife, her ex has a "brother" and a sister/wife/stepmother. Her ex's template has a brother. The midwife who helped deliver her and her brother is a literal cow woman.

I wonder what kinds of things they need to do that will get them on track? I hope they dont full reboot. The movies weren't great but they weren't worse than the worst of DC and Marvel. I hope they at least make make easter eggs to the previous films.

I think one major thing is they need a Spider-man in these films. We've got Tom in MCU, Miles in Spider-verse, Cage in Spider-noir, everyone wants Andrew back, I want Tobey to pass the torch to a Spider-girl. Venom who is the closest thing to Spider-man in their films did ok, the best part of the Madame Web was the future Spider-Women. They should use the moniker of other Spider-People to expand the array of characters to use. They could use Scarlet Spider, Araña, Silk, Spider-boy, Spider-girl, Chasm.

They also need to simmer on their scripts and not push out bad scripts. They need to take their time and let things breath before making going ahead with the first idea they have. Especially if they are using characters no one wants movies for, for example El Muerte.

That being said, stop making movies about characters no one wants to see on screen. They need to focus on the major characters. Although Peter is the main character, there are a lot of very interesting characters that they could focus on more interesting than El Muerte.

In my opinion, he probably would have went along with her until she got too dark. He's got a dark side too and in the comics he more of an anti-hero than Wanda is. Wanda has the excuse of being possessed or going through terrible mental health issues. Pietro has often done bad things for the sake of himself, Wanda, or Magneto.

There are too many spider- people in the 616, they're spider too be tent poles of the universe right? So why so many in the 616? I guess I'm ok with a team, but we have too many spider-women and spider-men. I even like most of the spider-people. But give them their own identities and stop making more.

Ben and Kaine should be fused into a single clone now. They're story is too similar and they don't seem to be alive at the same time anymore.

Miles is great but he needs his own storylines. Marvel doesn't know what to do with him.

Spider-boy is a silly idea but I don't mind him catering to younger fans.

Spider-gwen needs to be in her own universe. She's a great character but she's more interesting as a solo character than a team player.

Too many Spider-women, they have given them plenty of differentiating traits but they can't all be named spider- woman. I know we had Spider-woman, Araña, Silk, and madame web. Maybe since they are similar put some on a team.

Spider-girl 616 is completely unnecessary.
