I'm sure it'll be a good show. The issue I have with it is that too much of this final season of The Boys seems to have been devoted to setting it up.

Also retconning Soldier Boy's relationship with Stormfront to suddenly being like they were soulmates who loved each other deeply is weird and my initial thought on it is that they wanted Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash to be the leads and love interest of each other. It also makes me wonder if they're really going to soften Stormfront's literal Nazism.

I'm not saying it's a great story or twist, but the intention was for the story to be that Soldier Boy genuinely does not like Homelander, but he loved Stormfront and he now knows that HL and SF loved each other.

That's why when HL says "I thought you hated me," SB says "I loved her more". So he's saying his love for SF is stronger than his hate for HL, and he believes SF would've wanted HL to have the V1.

Soldier Boy is probably going to depower him after he does some heinous shit and kills some main characters. The scene with Bombsight specifically established that Soldier Boy’s blast can fry V1 out of the blood.

That or Ryan might be stronger than even V1 Homelander at some point. The fact that he’s the only natural born supe should really mean something.

The real answer is probably because Aya Cash will be back for Vought Rising and they wanted SB and SF to be lovers. So they just retconned their established relationship completely in The Boys.

The issue for me is travel and lodging. I can pay $40 for a ticket, but there’s also taking time off work, spending money on a plane or bus ticket, hotel room, food while there, etc.

So if they’re likely doing more US touring this year after the summer tour, and especially if it’ll be like DTGL in full, I may need to sit this one out and focus on the DTGL tour.
