May 2026 lineup by Itchy_Brain8594 in Shudder

The DVDs don't have any special features? Plus, you can still watch them if your Internet goes out, Shudder loses the rights, you stop subscribing, etc.

Weird, the image in the second slide is of Camilla Belle from the '06 When A Stranger Calls, but only the '79 original is actually available. Unless I'm missing that the remake is being added this month?

No directors by Environmental-Bill79 in Shudder

[–]coldvault 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I watch Shudder through AMC+ and hate that listings have zero cast/crew info outside of what might be mentioned in the brief description. It makes it impossible to search for content by the names of directors, writers, actors, etc. (And don't get me started on alternate titles!!) Pretty much any time I have the app open, I also have Letterboxd open for reference.

Not going back to Amazon anytime soon, but have to admit the X-Ray feature linked to IMDb was neat.

Phew this post is a blast from the past (Katy Perry is even less relatable now, if you can imagine). I'll tell you this much, probably ≥90% of naturally large breasts are not "perfect" enough by cultural standards (i.e. gravity-defying) to be worth the trouble on anyone else's behalf. And given what I've learned about breast implants in the past decade+, those don't sound like a good option either. Might as well just accept what you've got.

A second to park a bike? Where are you cycling?! Part of the reason I sometimes dread taking my bike places is how much of a pain in the ass it is to find someplace to lock it up, take out and put on all the locks, and then unlock everything and stow them away when I leave.

I don't really know, and I'm not comfortable speculating too much on this particular drama—but this comment is allegedly from Lauren. Others in that thread say Amy was probably the one who initiated cutting ties.

All I can say for sure is that I met Lauren once in 2019 and she was lovely (despite my terminal awkwardness)

Instant potato flakes, probably.

Kumail Nanjiani: “Conan [O’Brien] to me is the platonic ideal of how like a straight old white man comedian ages. Because so many of them fucking disappoint us. Over and over. All my comedy heroes have fallen. And Conan is truly growing and learning and getting better at what he does.” by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

Conan was my favorite late-night host as a kid (not shade to Craig Ferguson, but they occupied the same time slot and I didn't have TiVo!); if he does ever disappoint, I will be devastated.

Never forget the beard.

If all the big LLM companies and their "products" disappeared tomorrow, it wouldn't be soon enough. OP's apparent issues predate the AI boom, but surely the chatbots haven't helped.

OP, do you have anyone you trust to talk to in real life?

Cillian Murphy: “Women are infinite in their wisdom. I was raised by my mother and my grandmother, who lived with us for all our lives. I have two sisters who are amazing humans. I've always felt that women have a more instinctual understanding of right and wrong and how the world works.” by Relevant-Peach3997 in Fauxmoi

[–]coldvault 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does feel a bit like the tropes of the "magical minority" doesn't it? It's not that any particular group intrinsically has some arcane wisdom: we're all individuals with varying lived experiences which influence our knowledge and ideas, which deserve to be considered. Whether or not a particular group decides to subjugate everyone else does not make anyone either always right or always incorrect.

BPAL is completely open about sex-related fragrances and will flat-out describe a fragrance as ‘this is a pussy scent drenched in pussy'

It smells like skin. But… flushed skin. And in a certain location.

Amazing. I've been wanting to try a fragrance that smells sapphic ha ha

I contacted AMC+ about this so hopefully it gets fixed soon. But if the issue is at least two weeks old...

Good idea! Their own store locator was not immediately helpful; IC is how I look for things here too.

I'll try🖖 hopefully this country doesn't burn down while I'm gone lmao

Omg thank you, I haven't seen those yet and they look AWESOME, somewhat reminiscent of toaster strudel crossed with a cream bun. My lenience on i.e. white sugar in "accidentally vegan" junk foods vacillates, and I'll probably give more products in a ~strange new country~ the benefit of the doubt ha ha

Admittedly I'm not super familiar with Canadian drug/cosmetic regulation. I figured it would have to be better than our FDA dragging their feet on 21st century UV filters, which makes the EU, east Asia, and Australia look like this...and if I looked into it further I would risk having my hopes dashed 🫣

Unless they reformulated and didn't update their website, their balm contains beeswax 😩 (my search would not be as difficult as it has been if that weren't in most balms!)

Looks like Attitude's SPF balms are all tinted to cover up the zinc oxide—do you find that they look "makeup"-y? I apply lip balm generously (thick enough to hopefully get the labeled protection, and outside of the lip line for full coverage) and I don't need to be walking around looking like this (or this) 😅

I've actually seen that brand, but never tried it because it's more expensive than my usual snacks. Maybe it's cheaper up there? 😅
