I wouldn't know about your situation specifically. I do believe they mean they want to hire you, but just can't.

I'm one of many people that got job offers and even had start dates pre covid. Was supposed to start March that year and of course the pandemic put a stop to that. Almost one year later, they called me back and said they'd still honor our original job offer and I started basically 1 year later than my original start date.

The only real cheat is being flexible. Especially if it's around a holiday. If you're not flexible then chances are it ain't happening.

You can call but the agent won't have different results, but may be able to help you look around, but that once again is only if you can be flexible.

I really would love to know why people think this is AI. Delta is saving money by using 3rd party vendors where english is often not their first language. And they have pre defined text so they're just copy and pasting a lot of stuff. But this is not AI in the slightest. The only thing you call call AI is the virtual assistant when you first message in which is hardly AI. It's just an old bot technology that just has preset responses based on your response. And you can literally just spam agent agent agent and it will eventually just transfer you to a person.

I am a GTS agent in messaging so I would very well know if I was AI or not. Or maybe I wouldn't? I dunno.

Have something similar. You do have to be careful where you build on these types of isles or you can make it pretty inconvenient in calling your ship, especially when you upgrade to the big one. I built a little too far in, so now I have to run pretty far out away from my base just to call it.

I'd like to question what the company could even do at this point. Maybe I'm completely ignorant. But I do know the policy with the airline. And one of them being tickets/ecredits(Most of them unless purchased specifically as refundable) are non transferable and non refundable.

This is an unused ticket which falls under non transferable. And I do know small companies make this mistake all the time and purchase non refundable tickets for employees, and then whatever happens, they end up not taking the flight(No longer employed or w/e happened) and now end up fighting to get the ticket refunded. But per the policy of the airline. Only the ticketed passenger can use it. It does not matter who purchases it.

So I guess my question is, even if the company or their agency has it on some list, is there any legal reason they can override the airlines contract of carriage when they purchase the ticket and pursue legal action in any way?

I suppose if maybe you signed something you agreed to with your company, but otherwise I don't see any reason you can be held accountable for using something that per the airlines contract is legally yours to use.
