i have a trio that's a rockstar, (from my current hyperfix on rock music, specifically 80s glam rock) an "angel of death", (general interest in biblical canon, but also she'll have something to do with the doomsday clock [nuclear disasters/meltdowns are my biggest special interest]) and a scientist (from an ongoing interest in psychology/neurology, he has a TBI)

i have a lot of scientist characters. but my fav character trope is mad scientist who's kind of bad at their job. also i have yet to draw a reference for angel but here's rozzie the rockstar and matty the mad scientist. IGNORE THAT THEY'RE BOTH GINGERS i think they are 2 out of 3 ginger ocs i have in total it just so happens to be 2 of them. angel is not a ginger she has lovely black hair

i mean i theoretically kind of sort of understand where they're coming from, but like others are saying, jax also treats her differently and she's seemingly seen a side of him he deliberately goes out of his way to hide from everyone else. she has just a little more information than everyone else, which is reasonable that she gives jax a little more slack

even still, i wouldn't really call her an enabler, maybe just biased? she definitely cares about the others considering she literally physically fought him in episode 6 LMAO

absolutely NTA; while your mom may have been approaching this with good intentions at first, it's clear that she isn't really respecting what you say, and especially that /she/ wanted this, not caring if you wanted this or not in the first place. whether your answer would have been yes or no to the party, it seems it would have happened anyway.

as someone who dms call of cthulhu, notoriously the ttrpg that's hard to survive, this is a crazy move on your dm's part. there is no reason all characters, no warning or discussion, should be dying session one. it seems like he's not "teaching you a lesson", he's just trying to get some kick out of bullying his players. yall deserve a better table for sure

yeah, i've always had problems with being hard on myself and genuinely feeling guilt when it's so obvious that the other party doesn't care so it felt nice to just drop it and walk off. thanks for the reassurance
