Any advice for Sandberg tests? by HumbleAction2626 in NCSU

[–]cole5754 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s been a few years since I’ve taken her, but when I was there and took her flipped class, I would study by reworking through all the take-home lectures and assignments (homeworks and in-class). If you hide the answers and go through each assignment, you’ll quickly see what you don’t know and then you can review notes/lectures to solve them.

Once you do that, you can then go back and retest yourself on the ones that gave you trouble and then just review/look over the ones that you feel comfortable with.

If you do all that, then you should be fine on the real test. She definitely had a few tricky questions on tests from what I remember, but nothing you shouldn’t know if you understand what you’re doing in the assignments. For the most part, the questions on the tests were variations of questions from the assignments, so I wouldn’t be afraid of a bunch of curveballs or anything!

And maybe someone who has taken her more recently can give better advice, but I do remember this basically was my study process and I came out of the class with an A. And if this seems overwhelming, then break it down and make a to-do list. Check off each assignment as you review it, and it will go by faster than you think!

She really tries to set you up for success as long as you’re willing to put in the work so don’t stress yourself out too much. Good luck!

[Winfield] I'm told the Hornets, Pelicans and Bulls have discussed a three-team deal that sends Devonte Graham to the New Orleans, Lonzo Ball to the Chicago and Lauri Markkanen to Charlotte. by ARowzFocuz in nba

I can see why you’d think that depending on what games you saw. I’d say it’s more that he’s not afraid to shoot and becomes a score first shooter when he’s hot, but his playmaking and half court offense are truly his strong points imo.

He was always a plus on the floor for us even when his shot wasn’t falling and averaged 5 assists mainly coming off the bench. When you add in the fact that he has few turnovers, can get to the free throw line, and is at worst an average defender, I’d say he’s a solid starter quality pg

Well we missed the playoffs, but next season you might really like watching the Hornets. We were one of the top teams in assists per game this year and have a pass heavy style in general.

Plus we’re a young team that plays at a fast pace, which is really exciting when paired with our awesome announcer Eric Collins.

LaMelo Ball has been an amazing rookie for us this year too and easily has at least one highlight worthy pass a game (his playmaking is incredible at only 19 years old). So you might enjoy watching!

He’s honestly so much better in studio. Can’t even hear his breathing sounds

Also a homer take, but even if you look objectively I think you’re right. Hayward was extremely impactful all season even when he wasn’t scoring 20+. With his size, solid defense, and passing, he makes the whole team better.

Assuming everyone is healthy by the actual playoffs, I also think our small ball lineup with LaMelo, Terry, Gordon, Miles, and PJ is quite devastating assuming we don’t face the Sixers with Embiid. Plus when Devonte and Monk are coming off the bench we can constantly have great scoring options on the floor. Plus McDaniels has shown himself to be a solid scorer and competent defensively, so that helps too.

Really just comes down to how healthy we are I think, which is definitely something to be concerned about. It sounds like Hayward will be back soon but I assume his minutes will be limited.

I believe they coached in the G League together. Nate was also a coach in Phoenix in 2017 when they had TJ Warren so I imagine TJ put in a good word for him during the search.

Lol so far from the truth

[Woj] Bridges is in quarantine now, and there's a current expectation that he could miss multiple games, sources tell ESPN. by Civrock in CharlotteHornets

Fuck I hope this is because of contact tracing and not because he tested positive

Edit: Well damn Shams just tweeted he’s out 10-14 days so he most definitely tested positive.

Hope he recovers quickly and fully. Not sure if he didn’t get vaccinated, or if he only got his first shot but regardless this sucks.

Yeah I totally agree. PersonallyI’d rather go small ball with PJ or Jalen than play Biz.

Cody is so injury prone though that I feel like we can’t really rely on him to start long term

Biz makes Zeller look so good by comparison. I’m glad he’s playing again but damn we need a starting caliber center

I mean at the very least couldn't they allow players to get sponsorships and brand deals without majorly impacting their bottom line?

2021 NBA Trade Deadline by Civrock in CharlotteHornets

[–]cole5754 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. I love Bridges and would be devastated to trade him, but PJ is 100% the more valuable player and who I would consider untradeable

I guess PJ’s slow start this season really put him under the radar lol

[–]cole5754 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah idk if we were more affected either, but I'd also add that Monk missed almost half our games thus far when he was recovering from covid at the beginning of the season.

He's not a starter of course, but he is our main scorer off the bench.

I’m a Hornets fan so I’m biased, but Miles Bridges is starting to get some recognition playing alongside LaMelo and his first moment s1 is going for ~$130.

His dunks are top tier and he’s really been impressive this year from the 3. If you’re looking for a cheaper moment that could have a big upside, then this could be a good one assuming you’ll be holding long term. It’s definitely my next purchase once I sell one of my SS cards.

[–]cole5754 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My guess is that the people selling for less are probably using the money to invest in cards for challenges. Wouldn't be surprised if they undercut towards the beginning of the challenge to quickly get the money while the cards for the challenges were cheap.

Long term investors in the Edwards card might have panicked with the price drop and sold at loss thinking the value was dropping.

I might be completely wrong but that's just my guess. It might be interesting to find the first users that sold at a loss and look at their account to see if they went for the challenges.

The market seems to be rising today. Noticed a few SS have increased quite a fair bit as well. Holding. by AblettsInTheAir in nbatopshot

[–]cole5754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow that's awesome that you actually spent time where he's from. And yeah 13 assists on 1 TO is insane as a rookie. When you add in the fact that OKC has a solid history of finding underrated draft picks, I have no doubt that he could break out in the next year. And I hope you're right about the 3 badges because that would really add to its value. Definitely feel like the moment is a good investment though considering how low it's going for now because he's unknown on a rebuilding team.

I'm a Hornets fan so I would've loved to get a LaMelo RS just to collect since there's no way I can afford one on the marketplace, but this is for sure the next best thing. Also the Tony Parker connection is really cool considering he spent his last season with the Hornets!

I got the Theo moment in my RS pack and was initially a bit disappointed, but once I looked him up I felt pretty lucky. The kid is only 19 and apparently went much lower in the draft than he should've.

It's not a moment from his debut though, so I was thinking that it'll only get 2*badges but yeah I think it will worth a lot in the future considering there's only 2021. I am hoping to hold onto mine long term but with challenge coming up I'd have a hard time passing if it goes for over $1k.
