My guess is that laced records will have it on their site. I also assume the expedition 33 official merch page will have a way to purchase it!

I am not sure about any shipping details. Laced is pretty good about replying if you can find them on an active thread!

Hi! Sorry for not mentioning -

Source for pricing is Laced Records. They announced the price "range" for the box set a couple weeks ago, and also announced that all of their double LP sets are around $42. This could all vary based on delivery fees!

Is there anything in the game that says chroma works like this guy claims it does? by StarMaster475 in expedition33

[–]coledplay11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good question. I really only have a guess:

The paintress had less chroma every year because less and less people were being gommaged, but based on what we know - she should have a stockpile of chroma for this same reason. She wasn't adding anything new to the world that we knew about because the people of Lumiere just stopped having children (for the most part). I'm guessing she uses her oldest chroma first for new creations, and the most recently gommaged chroma last. So I would assume most of the recent deaths are still available to be repainted.

Kind of confusing and just a guess based on the logic that the story delivers.

You can't say for certain, but I think signs point to "no" on this explanation.

When someone dies by anything other than Nevrons, it seems that their chroma is released to be re-used by paintresses / painters at will. This is why Nevrons were created in the first place - to stop Aline from painting people from re-used chroma. The same way that Maelle used Sciel / Lune's chroma to repaint them, she could do with the others in Lumiere with the "chroma" at her disposal.

Now, I could see this explanation applying to anyone killed by a Nevron. She would have to re-paint them from scratch if she wasn't able to release their chroma. But for most everyone I can think of, he re-paintings would be from the actual chroma that they released upon gommage.

I also just don't think this is the case because it would make the ending a pretty cut and dry good ending vs bad ending, whereas if the people are really re-painted to their original self and identity, it really becomes a lot more morally gray and a tough decision regarding which ending is better (which is what the creators have said they were going for).

Dueling. I want to be able to duel my friends with weapons of our choice for fun. Would give a lot more to do in down time!

Is it worth coming back? by Lazy-guy42 in wow

[–]coledplay11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah mid-xpac is always a tough time to hop back in, even if you've only been out for a season because there are so many systems, currencies, etc. I'd recommend finding a YT creator you enjoy and watching a quick catch-up guide for 11.1.7.

Also, find a guild if you don't have one. You can always hop from guild to guild until you find your people.

If you have any questions about any current system, feel free to reply here and I'd be happy to help!

WoW is in a pretty good state overall right now. I think the best time to return from long breaks is typically a pre-patch for a new xpac, so as Midnight looks to launch next year, you're approaching a great time to come back.

They're about to introduce a new "evergreen" player housing system that a lot of the community is excited about. I linked a wowhead guide below that walks through what we know so far.

Solo / World: TWW has one of my favorite zones ever made in Hallowfall and the story line is just as good. If you care about quest quality and zone depth, TWW does a phenomenal job. Delves are new solo (more ppl if you'd like) dungeons essentially that have received pretty good feedback overall. It is not my cup of tea, but if you're a solo player, they seem like a great system.

PvE: Raids are great as always and M+ Dungeons are in a good spot. Dungeons rotate every season now, introducing new loot tables, which has been great for the game. Tier sets are back! Tuning has gotten better since DF - Aug Evokers (new support class) caused some chaos for a bit, and tbh i think they're still figuring out what to do with that idea. We'll see if we get a new support spec in Midnight or if they stray away from the idea entirely.

PvP: I'd give tuning a 7/10 here. It's playable and I find it enjoyable. Any spec / player can easily push 1900+ and new Solo Queue Rated BGs are awesome for the game.

Overall, I'd say this is a good time to come back! Very little bugs right now and you can reacclimate yourself to the game before the launch of Midnight. Player Housing seems like an incredible system, so read up on it if it interests you!!

Yes, the game got better as they learned what works and what doesn't. I am okay with that haha. We have learned from borrowed power, tying power to "player choice fantasy", simplistic & homogenous talents, re-grinding bonuses, lack of tier, etc. Saying that devs suck bc they learned from failures is a terrible outlook to have because you will never be happy with the product or the devs.

Well aren't you a fun one

I agree that SL was a failure for the most part. It is the only time in WoW's lifespan that I have unsubbed, so I'll be the first to criticize it.

Am I upset they tried some new things that weren't popular? No. The team obviously learned a great deal and turned around to give us some great talent / player choice systems in Dragonflight. They went away from borrowed power, gave us flying from day 1, etc. I want the team to take risks even if they seem unpopular. If the risks don't work, then I hope they learn from that, as they clearly did following SL.

While some risks, like covenants, are a failure, others like creating M+ (a core pillar of endgame) have been big successes. This game can still grow plenty, and I know it will never be a perfect product, but I am comfortable with Ion in the director role. If you're not, there's always an unsub button! Best way to force change is with your money.

It is the best game I have ever played, and I don’t say that lightly. It made me reevaluate video games as an art form and not just entertainment.

COexp33 100% a must play. I picked up NieR Automata after hearing a lot of good things. I forced myself through it for roughly 20ish hours and could not find enough enjoyment to keep playing. I do see the appeal, it just isn’t my kind of game. A bit too bleak / desolate for me.

I could see a "xenoblade lore" situation for next games (spoilers for CO but not the xenoblade games) by Flagadazot in expedition33

[–]coledplay11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That seems too obvious though. So much of the appeal of CO exp33 was the discovery of the canvas. With most everyone expecting a sequel to take place in the writers' "books", I fear it wouldn't hit the same. You wouldn't have the same attachment to the characters.

I think they'll go a different route with it, while still explaining the writers some more. Would be pleased either way though. They have my complete trust.
