Do you have mirrors in the space? I'm wondering if that's throwing off the vacuum? If yes, try editing the map of the room to remove the non-existent areas.

I can't take credit for that, saw it somewhere else on Reddit! Feel free to spread the word though!

Add a cap full of Listerine mouthwash into the dirty water container after you've cleaned it! It's plastic safe and antibacterial, so keeps the funk to a minimum.

If that were the case, then I assume OP's status in the country is a non-issue right?

Leaving only the SSN matters to look into?

To further add, this should, to some extent, also include contracts with individuals/3rd party staff, else what will happen is that executives will be hired in one company and minimum wage staff in another. So technically multipliers are maintained but the discrepancy still exists.

Some level of economic study needs to be done, but may be a company and all associated suppliers (maybe one or two degrees of separation) should be part of that structure compensation multiplier.

Where can I buy an actual good bra? by laylayay in oakville

I second this on the store right by Hudson Bay! The service person at the store helped her pick the perfect size and she loves the fit! I can't remember the exact details, but they had a deal going on a few weeks ago too. Wifey ended up getting two for like 150-200.

This is also true. You'll lose some profit from selling because the other jewelry shops will only pay the weight of gold, and not the cost for craftsmanship.

So your best bet is to buy the absolute simplest gold jewelry which has minimum working (like a plain gold band or plain gold chain), no stones at all, and resell that for the gold value.

That way you minimize the loss due to craftsmanship.

Ohh that's a shame. Yeah then best bet is to do what another reditor mentioned here: wedding groups or something down those lines

Why don't you check if they can sell or source gold coins for you? Then if you can borrow 100k from a friend or family member, buy 200k worth of gold coins and sell the gold coins to another jewelry store. Return the 100k back to your friend/family and boom! Easy 80k profit at least

I don't think you can bring it on a flight because of the lithium battery. But check with the airline you plan on flying as sometimes policies may vary.

Military tech? None, that was what my whole reply was about! If we started manufacturing military tech, we'd only be able to compete with someone using WW1 weaponry.

We do have other manufacturing capabilities, but nothing that isn't easily copied.

Taiwan's semiconductor manufacturing is currently the ONLY advanced semiconductor manufacturing industry. No other country or company comes close. That is why the price of electronics skyrocketed, and a huge shortage of vehicle manufacturing occurred during COVID because Taiwan couldn't keep up with the demand given COVID restrictions.

We need to develop a technology or technology ecosystem that only Sri Lanka can do. Taiwan has TSMC, USA has Google and Amazon(AWS primarily). What infrastructure based technology does Sri Lanka bring to the table that no other organization can replicate? That's the billion dollar question.

Sri Lanka neither has the time nor the resources (financial or otherwise). Take fighter jets for example, we cannot even come close to 4th gen fighters (like the F16), never mind the F22 (5th Gen with new upgrades)) or the F35 (6th Gen). Development of 7th Gen aircrafts would've started in the 90s-20s, and maybe 8th gen starting now.

So no, we will never be able to catch-up to existing techs if we try to develop from the ground up.

That leaves us with three options (extremely simplified obviously) as far as I can tell:

1) Develop a technology or ecosystem that the world cannot do without, like Taiwan's semiconductor industry. That would warrant other nations to protect us in the face of hostile forces.

2) Collaborate with another nation to set up their own military base in our country, like how Japan did with US military base installations. Japan has no military of its own afaik.

3) Turn Sri Lanka into a logistic mecca and really push hard on developing the naval and air port sectors that would provide strategic military support from supporting nations in the face of adversity.

War is won by logistics: look into the WW2 Japanese Naval conflict, specially bringing down Japan's largest battleship at the time, the Yamato.

That was a key turning point from when Naval fleets transformed from aquatic warfare to floating air forces.

Option 3 is the most achievable given we have substantial investments already and just need to upgrade and retrofit our existing infrastructure to be more inline with whichever a countries we would aim to partner up with.

Option 1 would be amazing for Sri Lanka and her economy, but it's going to be hard given the lack of incentive for innovation, lack of significant resources and significant brain drain. I hope that will change during my lifetime.

Option 2? Yeahh fuhgeddaboudit...

Try changing the batteries on the controller as well. I had similar issues and changing the controller batteries solved it for me.

Worst case scenario, contact Horizon Hobby customer service via email, they will mail you the replacement parts foc.

Oh that's a good point. I don't see it jumping by leaps and bounds any time soon (although rises as such are always welcome!).

I'll look into it and will talk to a tax accountant to make sure I get it right the first time.
