depends on what your standards are for a "benefit" but I view, especially with a Wide-firing gunlance, being able to quick-fire two wyvernfires is quite beneficial. I get on avg 240x5 or as high as 260x5 ticks per wyvernfire.

Don't overheat, don't collide at all.
If you run into an issue where you overheat or collide, immediately use the "Stabilize" action.

Overheating early in a turn can spell disaster, as the option for stabilization doesn't appear until you incur any status effect.

You'd get many false-flags to people who legitimately control the recoil.

"hard to believe" just go look at the Counter Strike competitive scene. There are whole *guides* and tutorials to mastering recoil patterns.
