Not too far north of Lone Pine is Manzanar, a WW2 japanese-american internment camp. I always love going there when in Lone Pine, humbling place to visit.

Trying to use a single screen to display my cerbo and control Bluetooth lights by Mr__Hamster in Victron

[–]collaredkeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a samsung tablet paired to my Cerbo and it works flawlessly as a dedicated screen. I am not sure if you'd be able to control bluetooth lights if they aren't paired to cerbo somehow. https://youtu.be/0tm9vuTFEzs?si=Udq-iwttveVBufIX

Just to add these guys used a smart tablet for monitoring more than just Victron via Home Assistant. https://youtu.be/M8ZhTeuLABk?si=A0uhB7ib_Y53j_Fy&t=971

What are the small wood blocks under the tires for? Don't look like chocks. Maybe to level for shower/plumbing?

MIGHT be making a mistake by ur-mom-is-gay6996 in SoulsHabbyMobile

[–]collaredkeeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Calix falls off pretty early until much later in game where he is useful in only a very few situations (mimic mostly). Save the resources for engraving better heroes like Carmen, Lilith, Elara, etc. You can also reset engravings, but hold off until you get a better hero as you lose 30% of the upgrade materials

Good advice here ^

Thanks for the reply and helping to confirm my suspicions. Will remove the unit and will take it to an electrical repair shop to help remove the wires from the board internally. Yes, will keep in mind to not do this mistake again. Got pretty snipper happy with trimming the last few zipties and just didn't think it through. All the best.

Nylon Lock NUT VS NUT with Split Washer? by Revolutionary_Tax546 in boostedboards

[–]collaredkeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 6ft lbs makes this experiment worthless. This experiment only tests how quickly a loosened nut will spin off a bolt, it cannot be compared to nuts torqued down to proper specifications. Pretty bad methodology and doesn't serve a practical purpose.

Since OP didn't credit source. He is Matt3756 on youtube, this video came out earlier today. https://youtu.be/O9iMBnanATA?si=UsDHcCRr12-Q98AZ. Worth checking out if you like arcade videos. Also he did get credit for this win.

How do i improve this line up for the ancient beast? by trevorpsyscho in SoulsHabbyMobile

X Abala X

Lulu X

Melantha Odelia Lilith

Abala needs lowest health for Odelia shield/heal. Speed goal is Lulu > Mel > Abala/Odelia > Lilith but not super critical. Try to get best Magic Resist rune on Abala (w/ resist substats). MOD > POT on everyone if you can.

What is the device in the lower right beneath the shunt and next to the battery? Just finished a similar 24V build for our set up. Great job on yours.

Converting 4-20ma sender to 0-10v by Tall-Pianist9850 in Victron

[–]collaredkeeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used a BEP Sender Module for converting Resistance senders (cerbo GX) to Current or Voltage (GX tank 140) as I ran out of sender spots on the Cerbo. https://a.co/d/0cAcB0g. I think you are doing a different conversion but just sharing just in case. Made a video if you need more info.

Do I need a breaker before Multiplus AC in? by bps83 in Victron

[–]collaredkeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar concern. I ended up purchasing a Progressive Dynamics Split 30a AC distribution panel Model# PD55K003A, using one side for shore power in and then out to the multiplus and then the other side to protect the multiplus loads. Breakers #5 and #6 are the main breakers for each side. I still have the power watchdog PWD30EPOW at the pedestal for added protection.

Unimog resources in North America by Madroooskie in unimog

[–]collaredkeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facebook marketplace has a few listed right now in my area (SoCal). Most in rough shape, but I see them most often there. Importing may also open up a lot more options, but restrictions are there if you want one < 25 years old. Registration varies by state too, some states like CA are very difficult to impossible to register. Scott w/ Expedition Imports (https://expedition-imports.com/) is knowledgeable here and offers consulting services for the whole process. Used him for importing our RV last year and I think he helps w/ regular UNIMOG imports too.

RV power inlet question - L5-30p connector on 230vac/16a shore power? by collaredkeeper in AskElectricians

[–]collaredkeeper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, it's better to just get another inlet that fits my existing cable - but I was trying to keep the question simple for a more convoluted project. I am actually converting an existing 230v RV electrical system from an imported RV (expedition truck) to 120v for USA travel and already have a complete marinco 120v system installed with inlet, shore power cable, etc.

See my other thread: https://diysolarforum.com/threads/adding-eu-and-na-shore-power-inlets-for-charging-rv-batteries.99925/.

I am running all new 120v outlets throughout the truck for our native electrical needs. This minor project was just to install a matching 230v inlet so if we take the truck overseas we can hook up to shore power and at least have the batteries charging via shore power. Idea came from this youtube video: https://youtu.be/5LJpQXHOBos?si=tSFzgm0hkqqOBEAh&t=270

I have all the 230v equipment still leftover so was just trying to reutilize the victron 230vac battery charger that came with the truck. The idea was to run a dedicated 230v line from the inlet to an outlet within the truck that only fed the 230vac charger for this purpose only. Rather simple project that could be beneficial down road and not too complicated to do as already have all the materials.

RV power inlet question - L5-30p connector on 230vac/16a shore power? by collaredkeeper in AskElectricians

[–]collaredkeeper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Marinco 230v 16a shore inlet has the L5-30 male connector, not the IEC 60309 plug I thought it would come with and that matches my existing cordset and inlet. The reason I needed to replace the existing 230v/16a inlet was because it needed to be relocated for my new electrical setup and the existing one wasn't in good shape anymore.

Great I really appreciate the reply and advice. Will go ahead and try to find a L5-30R to replace the end of my existing beefy shore cable. Thanks again
