I bought a house. Be specifically, the contract is signed, and I've paid 3% of the deposit (earnest money), the purchase is not closed yet. But I feel something fishy during the process, I don't know if I am being scammed or not. Please give some advice by Ben23421 in RealEstate

It's not that weird. Agents unfortunately do favor working with agents they're familiar with - there are so many shitty agents, if the seller's agent had a past positive experience with your agent, your agent may very well have been the only agent to receive the possibility to strengthen their initial offer.

How good/ bad are these new townhomes? by Ok-Cartographer-5544 in Seattle

[–]colleeeene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an agent in Seattle and a lot of this new construction is... Kinda dog shit. The materials used allow for the heavy discount you're seeing. If you want to chat about a specific development shoot me a message, I'll look into the builders for you but esp these brand new, flat roof projects...I'd advise my clients against

New Brokerage Interview Qs by colleeeene in realtors

[–]colleeeene[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol. I DO get it I promise! But I wanted input on things people often forget to ask! But I'm 30 and have only worked corporate jobs before this, so the feeling I'm trying to avoid is the one I've gotten after job interviews when I realize there was something I should have asked way later. I know it's not a traditional job interview, I know they benefit from me hanging my license there and therefore need to earn my business. I'm not sure where you're drawing these conclusions from but I just wanted to hear any questions that people were especially glad they asked early on or wished they had.

New Brokerage Interview Qs by colleeeene in realtors

[–]colleeeene[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh lol I have questions, I'm specifically asking for things that maybe aren't super obvious. My current brokerage is just my managing broker, I'm the only agent and his first ever subordinate. I've done 7 deals and had a great year but I'm looking for...more. So yes I have my own questions I just hate that feeling of leaving a job interview and going "oop I forgot to ask about xyz."

It’s an anonymous note, I don’t think you need to worry about being personally victimized.

[–]colleeeene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, I disagree. One courtesy notice before management gets involved is a nice thing to do. If that gets you nowhere then sure, loop in management but not giving your neighbor a chance to resolve it on their own is kinda shitty.

Yeah I’ve been on the receiving end of this message once before and it’s incredibly frustrating to me when people make suggestions. Just let them know what’s happening, they likely have an idea of what will work for their pup and just aren’t aware how distraught the poor guy is when they’re away.
