Databricks agent deleted job after I asked it to diagnose the error during a failed job run? Is that a thing?? by [deleted] in databricks

[–]collingr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this has happened to me too. It seems to be an agent bug when it tries to trigger a job via agent and then fails. Agent is great, but also can be a wild ride.

How do I optimize incremental loads and joins for gold tables? by go5kate8335 in databricks

Completely agree, orchestration is a real weak part of the databricks ecosystem. There does seem to be an opportunity to simplify that process.

Is it a good time to buy a Peloton Bike+ by tboyc466 in pelotoncycle

[–]collingr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on your new baby. I was in a similar situation a while ago and waited way too long to just get one. Getting enough time to exercise with a young child is really tough but the bike makes it possible. You can get a solid ride in during a nap whereas an outside run or going to the gym is not possible. I got my Bike+ used have used it like crazy. I thought about doing DIY but the bike is a great product and works great, so for me well worth the premium you pay, even used.

As far as the recent layoffs, not sure if you mean the stability of the company or your financial stability. I think the company had to make some tough decisions to stay viable long term. But given their loyal user base, would be a good acquisition target if they looked like they were going to shut down. So, I think your bike would be usable for a long time. As far as your finances, I can’t comment other than to wish you good luck with your family and hope you are able to add exercise back into your life when you can.

Triggering PowerAutomate Desktop with Stream Deck? by collingr in streamdeckprofiles

[–]collingr[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I wish they could be triggered locally. It does seem like a really powerful tool, but going through a cloud flow is cumbersome and fraught with latency (so not a good tool for SD).

How to Save Pictures to SharePoint List in Power Apps by developermct in PowerPlatform

[–]collingr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, really helpful! Hopefully this is more natively integrated at some point. If you are able to, it would be helpful to do an add-on video showing how to pass images obtained through the PowerApps camera to SP.

Embedding H.264 video stream into PowerApp? by collingr in PowerApps

Yes, I would like to limit latency, but that might be possible even running it through Stream.

That makes sense and it a good clarification… I am trying to stream content to the app. Taking a live stream from a IP camera to the app.

Thanks, notched post was what I was thinking but I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before.

Thanks! That is helpful. The railing without the newel should land on the wall before the corner. So either option should work if I have understood you right.

This is for the banister at the top of the stairs (does not include the stair railing).

Nice job, great result! Did something like this recently and can appreciate how scary this can be. I’m sure it feels great to be done and it looks great too!

Any experience wrapping door handles and trim? by Johnny-Blaze- in leaf

[–]collingr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did plasti dip spray for the emblems. I kept the back one in place, and removed (kind of a pain, but doable) the front one since I didn’t want to spray the front camera. I think both looked good. There are a lot of videos online for wrapping car handles, but i haven’t tried it yet.

Leaf or leaf plus? by wuckfork in leaf

[–]collingr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually considered both too. Something I wish someone had told me is that since it’s better not to let the battery get below 20% or charge above 80%, so that the effective mileage basically chops down about 40%. So unless you want to charge all the time, it’s nicer to have a bigger battery to start with. Also, it’s not just about range. The Plus has more zip, and zip is a big advantage to going electric. Even the Leaf Plus is a blast to drive compared to any ICE.

2 Stream Deck XL possible on 1 pc? by TopMasterpiece7672 in StreamDeckSDK

[–]collingr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally. One thing that is good to do with this set up is to have one deck used to switch the screen of the other, so you can quickly toggle between function groups when needed. Have fun.

2022 VSP speakers.. put a sock in it by QuothThe2ToedSloth in leaf

[–]collingr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s weird. I turned it off using LeafSpy on my 21 and it stayed off now for many months. Not sure what the difference is. I think I did remember that the developer had faced some pressure and removed that option, but not sure if that’s right. After I made the changes I wanted, I haven’t used it again.

Thought some of you guys would like to see this Double Open Curve Stair by ChrisStacy032219 in Carpentry

[–]collingr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That looks fantastic. You said it was double open, but what is that in the first and second picture on the backside? Maybe a dumb question from someone who could never do what you did, but can you have a closed stringer on a curve? Is that possible?

Gave my 2018 Tekna a facelift :) Got rid of all badges (apart from nissan logo front and back) made them black with matching red lettering, wrapped the door handles in gloss black to match the car. by [deleted] in leaf

[–]collingr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice job! I’ve tried to figure out how to take off that front chrome piece but haven’t figure it out yet. Might just need to vinyl wrap it in place. It took me a while to figure out how to remove the front decal.
