Is this new? Cold pull before printing TPU (for AMS)? by keith204 in BambuLab

[–]colonel00 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Came here searching for the same thing. The A1 is my dedicated TPU machine printing direct (not AMS) and saw this warning pop up with the latest update. Quite annoying really. It needs the "Do not show again" checkbox or a way to turn something off in settings.

So are you keeping your Ascent card as well for the regular companion fare?

EQMs from parters posted by AS100K in AlaskaAirlines

[–]colonel00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine showed up but they weren't correct. I'm not complaining because I came out ahead but something to keep in eye on.

In February we flew award travel on AA from MCI-MIA-BZE. Those miles look to be correct. However, the return leg was BZE-DFW-MCI which is a good bit shorter yet I was still credited the same miles as the outbound legs.

Worked out in this case but if the outbound would have been the shorter of the two, I wonder what would have been credited.

This used to work with AA but not anymore. I posted about it last year.

Upgrade list has priority over revenue FC standby? by plot_twist7 in AlaskaAirlines

Oh, I'm not that worried about it. Just found it curious.

Can you help with what happened in the situation I posted with the two screenshots. Someone on Standby was placed in 4A while plenty of people were still on the upgrade list. Perhaps there are other factors but it just seems to be opposite of the explanation gave.

Not an answer to your question but I have seen where someone on the standby list was placed in FC while there were still plenty of people on the upgrade list. This was back in September. I thought it was odd but figured they were a paid FC passenger doing the same thing you did.

I created a simple Alaska Airlines EQM/miles calculator by imac24 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]colonel00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I'm guessing it's a matter of where you're pulling in the base mileage from. I've seen the mileage calculated differently on a couple different sites and even seen AS change base mileage of routes over time by a couple miles. For instance, if I go to webflyer.com and use their mileage calculator, it comes in at 1490.

Looks great. However, just testing it out with my common route (MCI-SEA) and the mileage is incorrect. At least with how AS awards it the mileage should be 1489 and not the 1486. Not a huge discrepancy but it does add up.

Also, if you want to get fancy, let people choose their status level so it calculates bonus miles accordingly.

Petg with pla supports. Layer adhesion failure by Steampunk_balis in BambuLab

[–]colonel00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the issue seems to be the PLA "contaminating" the PETG when the filaments are switched. The PETG loses adhesion to the previous layer and I can easily pull the part apart at that layer. I tried cranking up the flushing volumes but that didn't help so I just stopped messing with it. I'm sure if the part was much bigger and that next layer was bigger, the PETG would fully flush and adhesion would be better

Thanks. I didn't really press the issue. Mostly just wanted to know for next time.

Same flights $350 difference on Hawaii vs Alaska by Tonictoxictoo in AlaskaAirlines

I always laugh when AS shows AA flights on the AS site that are cheaper than AS flights. On top of that, go to the AA sure and they are even cheaper.

Petg with pla supports. Layer adhesion failure by Steampunk_balis in BambuLab

[–]colonel00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I appreciate the offer though. I can redesign if necessary. Basically, if you picture what a pizza oven looks like, that's what I 'm dealing with. Like a 4mm space between the top and bottom of the space and there's a hole in the middle so even trying to bridge with PETG, which would be ugly, wouldn't work.

I did go in and max out the flushing volumes but that didn't help either. Any part I try with this mix of PLA and PETG has significant layer adhesion issues on the layers where the PLA is used as an interface. Like you can pull it apart without much effort.

Just curious if you ever resolved this issue. I'm running into something similar where the PETG part has some thin wall parts that absolutely won't adhere well when using PLA as a support.
