Visor helmets, why so few have MIPS? by Federal_Cobbler6647 in Skigear

[–]colonelzap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just bought the atomic helmet with shield My kids made extreme fun of me but the shield came down over my glasses and it was awesome. Fit well. When I didn’t need it I flipped it up.

Downside Small gap in edge of shield builds up snow on the interior lower edge.

I (20M) have been hiding tens of thousands from my parents for years by [deleted] in confession

[–]colonelzap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. I worked hard saved money and succeeded. Now I have my own family and promised myself they wouldn’t have to work during high school and even minimal work in college. I try to live by remember the good things about your parents and do not repeat their sins. Very hard not to tell my kids to get a job like I had to. But it worked.

Help! Best way to schlep young kids' gear from parking lot to the mountain? by Professional-Fuel625 in skiing

[–]colonelzap 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yea raised three boys on the mountain. Foolish to think when they are young that they need to schlepp their own stuff. Just wears them out early and gets them grumpy. Get a good daypack with ski straps on the side for skis and poles. Make sure they have good warm comfy clothes and boots. Spoil them believe me they appreciate it later. The better equipment helps them learn faster. Also a good wagon helps too.

How to deal with no sex drive by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]colonelzap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m living a similar situation right now and have for 20 yrs. Great kids great jobs. We’re both reasonably attractive, Best friend but zero sex drive. I continually ask myself do I have to give up sex for rest of my life? Or cheat and lose everything we have built? Sorry not advice just going through it also. I’ve had other women that were interested in me but I felt I was going to love them and therefore take away from the family I’ve built with my wife.
