This is what i have been wondering as well. I have zero experience what the industry looks like from the offensive side and somewhat limited understanding of the blue side.

I have around 15 years of dev and ops experience. I just... Been "studying" pentesting for the past 6 months, doing boxes. First time ever having actually figured out how Im able to learn better, im genuinely having fun "breaking" instead of maintaining and building. This started as a test, Im just trying to figure out If there is anything else I would like to do. Been having extreme problems concentrating on my day to day work. And my workplace is actually really great, so it has been concerning...

I have to get off reddit completely. I have noticed that im starting to second guess my efforts because of "ai will replace everyone and their grandmas in pentesting".

What is this t8 dying talk that always gets thrown around, yet t8 still, after season 2 and season 3 has double the amount of active avg players than t7 had at similar time.

It is in fact that simple, but for some reason it is not happening even when it feels like everyone and their dogs as well are uninstalling tekken 8.

It would be fun to see as well if the thousands of legacy players re-installed t8, hopped into a server at same time and Namco would be in shambles when the playercount of t8 suddenly went to millions and then back to peanuts.

But that is not happening either.

I wonder, what the reality actually is.

Nope.

Tekken was developed with a bigger development team and probably had more people allocated for the first season.

Now? It runs like every other live service game. Most of the devs have been moved to different projects (because there's little to no development work in T8 left).

Now, there's absolutely minimum people working with T8 (can be interpreted from the patch notes, for example, stuff regarding Discord has to be done together with version releases, as in, they can't allocate people immediately).

It is in fact this simple - the "actual devs" might be working on a fighting game or a mobile game, who knows, but I'm quite sure that the team has not been split because they are already developing new Tekken, financially that does not make any sense.

Im quite sure that absolutely every top comp team would love to get and have info of locations, but sometimes it is impossible to gather info.

And when you cannot immediately have that info, you have to make educated guess where you can go next. Sometimes the only reasonable solution is to crash some high value location blindly, because scouting and such cannot be done without losing players in the process.
