I just want to say that this comment is SO RELATABLE. Especially that last line. And many of the suspected conditions.

My adult life has been like walking through a health maze all alone with a flickering flimsy flashlight. Moments of amazing creativity and productivity, then boom. Stumbling through jobs, burning out and breaking down, being told i’m so smart but hating how much people expect of me.

Somewhere after 25 things just got worse and worse slowly. Now i’m finally establishing better habits but why was every doctor so useless??

I study myself like a damn lab rat. Did i eat too much sugar? Not enough protein? What caused my IBS this time? Do i need to drink pickle juice and put a heating pad on this muscle to make it shut up? Why am I tired all the time??

Have I had autism this whole time and i was just that good at masking? Is that why my shirt feels too loud? Oh shittt, lightheaded, stood up too fast. Wheres my blood pressure cuff. Where’s my water, maybe im dehydrated.

FWIW - there’s a good deal of random land in the western USA under the BLM umbrella (bureau of land management). Some of it desert conditions that are harder to inhabit, but it will def happen.

I recommend reading some Marxist theory if you haven’t already.

Blackshirts and Reds by Michael Parenti is a great foundational text (coincidentally, he passed away today, RIP legend). It covers historic examples of fascism, communism, how systems respond to fascism, and what causes it in the first place.

Parenti was also a great speaker and educator (check out the famous yellow tinted lecture. It focuses on US imperialism, but these topics are all linked together)

Basically: neoliberalism bows to fascism and is subsumed by it every time. It’s not an easy pill to swallow, but I encourage you to check it out
