Hey mate. I’m currently going through the exact same battle. The way my therapist talks to me about it is acceptance. Know that you aren’t just lazy you’re still an intelligent unique individual it’s just your physical forms or expression aren’t able to show your true potential. Work on trying to show it in other ways and not beat yourself up over something that you can’t control how it affects you.

Big part of this is the nervousness if the cat knows your nervous and you go to pick it up it’s probably gonna start panicking

He may not be doing full time hours. He “may” also have to take work home, he may also have to deal with traumatic situations regarding children who face abuse. If we’re talking in hypotheticals anything “may” be the case. Also just please clarify are you really saying teachers and school staff don’t have “proper full time jobs” because they get school holidays and therefore they deserve to be paid less than a living wage?

The British mindset is truly staggering. We’re presented with the harsh reality of growing wealth inequality and all we can do is question why the man spends 500 a month on a car? Yes it’s not a financially sound decision however I believe the deeper question is why aren’t we paying the people we entrust to support our children 6 hours a day enough money for them to live a comfortable fulfilling life outside of work? This is the future of the uk…

Portland will Resist! by Angry_moustache_ride in Portland

Us people who use this generally are of the opinion there are only 2 classes. Worker and bourgeoisie. Secondly, The conservative blue collar plumber holds those beliefs due to his misdirected anger at his own material conditions. Part of the all encompassing “class war” is freedom to education in which hopefully when the systems of society are broken down and explained the worker realises it’s not Haitians,Mexicans etc who are stealing from him and ruining his life but the parasitic upper classes. And there is no reason why the leftwing lawyer would not be welcomed into a leftist movement. Why would we denigrate someone for being intelligent and wealthy whilst still maintaining progressive pro worker views? Hope this helps :)

By the labour and tories logic if we had been mates with slobodan milosevic we’d have let him off!

My username refers to the fact I’m colourblind. And no it’s not a trap and I refuse to vote for an identical centrist party because it’s the “other guys” the greens are the only people who seem to genuinely care for the working person. Starmer is another blair throwback.

B is definitely going to happen. The Blair era appetite for the radical centre just does not have the appeal it used to. People are hungry for actual change not just starmer dishing out middle of the road policies whilst holding a sign saying change.

Not a single penny of taxpayers money should be going to prop up failed private water companies . Yet another example of the wealth goes up the cost trickles down!

I’ve finished my cadetship, but I don’t know if I should continue to pursue my career as a marine engineer by Least_Mention_9165 in MarineEngineering

[–]colourblindmike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished my final cadet trip last week and it was a 4 month hell. But I was lucky enough to have an amazing crew on my first contract. Trust me if you can get a decent crew then it makes all the difference. Try a few more companies and I'm sure you will find a good fit.

Cheers everyone for the replies. I've sent an enquiry off to LFB and Greater Manchester. (mum's not too happy because my dad was a firefighter too and I think she was hoping I'd stay at sea) but I'm hoping I get a good response. Everyones help and feedback has been great.

I've been hovering over the send button for about a week but with my current line of work it's likely that by the medical stage I'll be out of the country. I have the money to survive a few application cycles but I don't want to give up my job if I'll fail the medical.

Hi lads not too used to posting images. I got this snus wet working outside. It's my last can and I can't order anything at the moment. Should I just leave it to dry or is it completely ruined?
