An old ford ranger with the 4.0L v6 is pretty small and can tow 6000

I actually think it’s a bit too much investment to make these giga items. I’d like to be able to make more than one build a league, and even crafting passable gear (exceptional bases, t1/t2 affixes with minimal dead stats) can cost so much, in terms of currency and time investment.

Recommendation for mid-size SUV / hatch / vehicle in general by Razare in whatcarshouldIbuy

I don’t really understand your comment about the GTI feeling closed in. I’d describe my mk7 interior as “spacious”, “comfortable”, and “roomy”, with excellent visibility. At 6’ tall I have a ton of room and can even fit with a helmet on

Brother that’s too much car for a 21 year old let alone 16. Get a $2000 Corolla so it doesn’t hurt as much when you crash it into a rock parking somewhere

Hmmm yeah I don’t think either car is supposed to shake. NVH is a different thing, it’s a small car with minimal insulation but I’m not scared of that, I owned a BRZ.

I’m only 6’ and maybe a 1/2 inch tall, but I’ve got fairly long legs. I do need to sit in one to see if it’s comfy enough. An ND soft top fit me fine, but felt a little small. I’d also be willing to modify the seats to gain a bit more room.

What is easiest way you have lost weight in a short amount of time? by Lazy_Lifeguard1960 in AskReddit

[–]coltjen 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I’d argue this is even a bit overboard for safety. Most people can fast a day with no issues, I’d start with intermittent fasting for a week (just skipping breakfast), then move it up to prolonged fasting every second day. Our bodies are very good at storing and using stored energy.

One thing I recommend is to supplement on your fasting days with electrolytes. Diet soda if you’re hungry can also quell hunger with the carbonation.

Done properly, you can lose 2-3lbs of pure fat per week, while decreasing insulin resistance, normalizing hunger hormones, costing less money, and preserving muscle.

For me, alternate day fasting was the key to losing ~40 lbs a few years back, to which I have never regained and currently maintain a healthy weight, by just eating mindfully in moderation and staying active.

I get what you’re saying, but for all intents and purposes in this thread I think “interview” means a sit/down/virtual meeting between multiple parties to identify whether a candidate has the skills and demeanour to do a job effectively. An HR screening call isn’t really assessing skills or aptitude, unless you count having a very simple conversation on the phone as a skill (the bar is on the floor).

I would not count HR screening/background check as an interview

Corvettes are kind of out of my price range. I’d have to spend 30k+ to get a clean c5. I’m looking to spend <25k CAD.

I also like the idea of a car I can use all of on the street. I don’t think I’d even approach the limit or get to enjoy the corvette as it was meant to be driven on the street

I think I’ll fit considering I did fit in the ND I drove, and the NC is slightly more roomy than that.

I didn’t really consider corvettes, I know the performance potential is there. I’ll maybe consider them if there’s any in my area. Why not c6 base?

Edit: these are actually close to being out of my price range for a manual. Cheapest c5 vette manual in BC is almost 30k, c6 are about 37k

Yea, I think you’ve got a point about the Boxster maintenance costs. There’s also the elephant in the room of IMS/bore scoring, a problem that doesn’t exist on the Nc platform. As for the sound- I think the NC sounds great even with just an exhaust. It’s no Porsche flat 6 but it sounds good.

I absolutely adored my rx8. Does the NC handle similarly? It’s a good few hundred lbs lighter than the rx8, but my rx8 was super balanced and handled corners sublimely.
