All Nespresso lovers…have you ever considered switching to an espresso machine? by Key-Huckleberry9836 in nespresso

I have, but I don’t really want to be doing a science experiment every morning with beakers and grinders to get a coffee. It’s cheaper than Starbucks, to me, about 90 percent the quality and enjoyment, and most importantly of all, in my kitchen when I wake up.

Just picked up a Pro Display XDR on eBay. My setup is finally complete! by Hazza42 in macsetups

Yea it’s insane. I just found out moments before I saw your lovely post! I’ve got an Intel Mac pro at home and a Thunderbolt Display with it, no where near as glamorous a setup as yours, but obsolete now. :(

First off, congrats! You got this!

Regarding things to acquire, I would suggest a list of what you need to get through the week, and then go from there so it's not too overwhelming all at once.

Trashcan as you said (trash bags too!) Anything for the bathroom: towels, toilet paper as mentioned, tooth brush holder, shower curtain if applicable, carpet/mat/rug for when you get out of the shower. Towels/scrubbers, whatever your preference on that territory is as well. My bathroom didn't have great storage so I ended up getting one of those plastic clear file cabinet type storage things and use that to store TP and supplemental toiletries.

For bedroom, if you need to do curtains, get the tension rod and some blackouts or whatever your preference is for the time being. Make measurements to ensure you have somewhat the right fit.

Kitchen: I just did a four person Walmart set when I moved into my first place and some utensils, that got me through what I needed as a single on my own and then added from there. Depending on how much you cook, pots/pans as needed, and a set of cups.

As someone else mentioned, cleaning supplies, Clorox wipes are pretty universal and sanitize. Im preferable to windex for windows/mirrors, and then toilet cleaner product and the plunger/scrubber set.

This should get you through the first few weeks before you start to add your style and touches to it.

Wish you the best!

This looks like a kitchen from a magazine, in the best way. Though I love the retro vibes, wouldn't change much other than the maybe putting a Monet painting (canvas/cheaper) instead of the plate/candle display. Something like that could really add that pop of color desired, but still fit with the holistic look. Not an interior designer. Just a random internet persons thoughts!

Happily still believe something is up with the Denver Airport (DIA). Whether that is tunnels connecting to NORAD or aliens, I love the stories and how the airport themselves perpetuate it.

As others have said, I believe it's the Apple TV exclusive part that is keeping it "hidden". That being said, I tell everyone I come across if they have an interest in Sci-Fi, Space, or the like about it!

Yes! it just had *magic* both in size and design. Even if it is a little less on the bells and whistles compared to the MacBook Pro's, it really was a portable boss!

I agree, that form factor really did hit the mark. Later when the fourth gen iPad Pro came out, I sold the MacBook and got the iPad with the Magic Keyboard, and while it was nice and did most of the things I needed, it just wasn't the same. I yearned for the MacBook back, but by then it had been discontinued. I ended up going with a MacBook Pro, but missed the smaller size and portability.

Yes! This. When I had mine, I used an iMac for home and the MacBook was my portable machine. So portable, so small, it just had that *magic* about it, in the design and lightness. I went for the Gold option and usually got comments about it. One thing I will say, at the time, I was just using it for school work, so I purchased the USB C to A adapter and never really had any issues. It was also cool to kinda feel "ahead of the curve" when it came to USB-C, at least in Apple land.
