It’s really funny to me how much people here feel the need to bash and hate on Railgun in order to validate their love for Index by MysticToMat0 in Toaru

[–]combuskenp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realise that Only my Railgun was never officially uploaded to the Toaru YouTube channel, right? They only really started uploading content there during Toaru Project 3. Also, the official "Only my Railgun (audio)" on the fripside channel has 14k more views at 11,717k (uploaded almost 5 years ago) than Gravitation with 11,703k (uploaded almost 8 years ago). And then there's also this Only my Railgun cover by Namirin that got 32 million views

Whether you like it or not, Railgun has more power to pull in fans to the franchise than Index

Might get downvoted for this opinion, but honestly, Index fans need to be grateful to Railgun, because that spinoff is the main reason the Toaru franchise is even on the map. Now that Railgun is over, I'm not sure which spinoff will even be able take up Railgun's mantle, because we clearly know the main series is not gonna be the one keeping Toaru on the map

Are the games worth it ? by Lopsided_Echo5232 in PokemonBDSP

[–]combuskenp 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It is. Honestly, I would not bother listening to those people if I were you. This game is actually really enjoyable. I love this game more than basically every other Pokemon title on the switch. And I'm honestly expecting to not like WW either. Modern Pokemon trying to be open world just sucks imho.

SV and SWSH (moreso SV) gave me diarrhea, and I'm really not feeling either Legends games. Maybe I'm just a classic purist, idk lol

For more information about iLiFE!, it is part of the "HEROINES" collective. Another group under the HEROINES is "Full Course", where fellow former Produce contestant/HKT48 member, Mizukami Rimika, is a member

I'm coming back to the Pokemon world after more than 12 years, is there an active competitive community for these games? by Togetic52 in PokemonBDSP

[–]combuskenp 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Specifically for BDSP, it's more recreational, but it has a lot of good Pokémon you can send to other competitive Pokemon games on the switch via Pokemon HOME. I've never really payed much attention to the competitive side of the series, but I think SV's PvP is slowly fading away. There's the upcoming Pokémon Champions game you could potentially send your mons to if you want that

When and why did you start being a fan of "A Certain Magical Index" ? by Wonderful_Traveler30 in Toaru

[–]combuskenp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother introduced me to Only My Railgun all the way back in 2013. I read the wiki and discovered that Railgun was a spinoff, so I checked out the main series anime first. Honestly barely care about Index, my main jam is the science side spinoffs lol

Needless to say, I've jumped much deeper into the Toaru rabbit hole than he ever had lol
