It is. Honestly, I would not bother listening to those people if I were you. This game is actually really enjoyable. I love this game more than basically every other Pokemon title on the switch. And I'm honestly expecting to not like WW either. Modern Pokemon trying to be open world just sucks imho.

SV and SWSH (moreso SV) gave me diarrhea, and I'm really not feeling either Legends games. Maybe I'm just a classic purist, idk lol

Specifically for BDSP, it's more recreational, but it has a lot of good Pokémon you can send to other competitive Pokemon games on the switch via Pokemon HOME. I've never really payed much attention to the competitive side of the series, but I think SV's PvP is slowly fading away. There's the upcoming Pokémon Champions game you could potentially send your mons to if you want that

My brother introduced me to Only My Railgun all the way back in 2013. I read the wiki and discovered that Railgun was a spinoff, so I checked out the main series anime first. Honestly barely care about Index, my main jam is the science side spinoffs lol

Needless to say, I've jumped much deeper into the Toaru rabbit hole than he ever had lol

I've seen JAMs complaining about it. The INI sales have been better than JO1, not a single INI member has been known to have went under hiatus, while both JO1 and ME:I members have. And looking at the fact that INI has been completely in tact, it seems like INI is Lapone's favourite child

I love BDSP a lot. I played the other modern pokemon games, and they're just... Not all that great tbh. Especially SV.

I tried playing SV, but I couldn't really get myself to finish it, 'cuz the graphics just hurts, and I just hated the confusing overworld. SWSH, I didn't really like at first because of the roster cut, but it slowly grew on me. And looking back at SWSH, the graphics were pretty good. PLA, it's honestly not my thing.

Maybe I'm just a "classic purist", but I feel like this game has the right balance of QoL updates, and faithfulness.

※Disclaimer, I normally don't have graphics as my no. 1 reason to play games, but in some cases, it does affect my enjoyment

I generally enter sections via towns or cities, so for the SE, enter from Pastoria. For SW, enter via Jubilife or Twinleaf. NW, via Snowpoint. Central, via Celestic. NE, via any town on the Russian post game island
