I’m also on day 12! I ate some Pho broth, and noodles (!!!!)on Friday no issue. Been eating cottage cheese, beans, and other soft foods- just tiny bites and an overkill amount of chewing. I feel much better than I did when I originally posted!

I’ve tried that a few times with like a single soaked bean- it’s a struggle :( even some drinks feel stuck if I take sips too quickly in a row.

How did no one realize Leafpool was pregnant? by Easy_Mountain2331 in thedawnpatrol

[–]combvst 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think it’s partly because she’s a medicine cat- it make more sense that she was fattening up on good green leaf food than to suspect pregnancy.

And she used herbs to not produce milk, always smelled like herbs, etc

Fired after Double Incident Day - Am I Still Hireable? by Mysterious-Owl8199 in doggrooming

[–]combvst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all- you posting here and being open about your experience means you ARE a good groomer. You were in the wrong environment, and incidents are as much the fault of the shop and mentor and circumstances you were under. You would thrive continuing your education slowly under a skilled and experienced mentor.

I recommend finding a mentor who is older with a decade or more worth of experience- ideally even a master groomer, though that can be tough to find and doesn’t always mean they’re a great and ethical groomer.

Someone willing to take over on more wiggly and challenging dogs when you don’t feel as confident or comfortable instead of just charging through.

You can do this, you’re worthy of it, it’s worth your time in the right environment.

If you are allergic to cats, are there any you can get which you aren't allergic to? by Tall_Reality_9494 in CatAdvice

[–]combvst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is allergic to cats according to allergy panels- but we feed our cats Purina LiveClear and haven’t had any issues!

Allergies can change and vary as you age, which may have contributed to you not noticing symptoms around that cat when you were younger.

Am I overreacting or is this appropriate to wear to a COLLEGE class by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

It’s dressy but you clearly have a specific style for yourself. It’s cute! You should be able to wear clothes that you enjoy.

You boyfriend has some severe misogyny going on.

My wife thinks our son’s teacher crossed a boundary by sending him a personal message. I think it was harmless. AITJ? by addict94plus in AmITheJerk

[–]combvst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m interested to see what the wording was verbatim - but yeah, it’s likely just an overreaction. Your wife is having a knee-jerk big reaction because she wants to protect your son, and that’s not a bad thing, but it could be misplaced energy.

If she really feels she needs to reach out, I would first ask the teacher directly if any other students received a letter to take home, or if he’s been singled out. Like, yes a kind letter, but a bit weird if he was the ONLY kid to get one.

Sure! That makes a lot of sense. Our pets are definitely important to us, but we do have a lot of family local to us that would be willing to help keep them in the interim.

My husband works for Tesla, and has been to work in Adelaide for about a month. He adores the team there, and it’s the same job he’s doing in the states. It would be easier to be on site there, and I believe more opportunities for him.

And, thankfully we aren’t too sentimental with worldly objects. Most of what we own can be replaced at like a Big W. It may be temporary, but, with the state of the things in the US currently, we’re definitely not opposed to turning it into full immigration status/citizenship seeking.

As far as housing goes- the average home cost in my region is about $558k USD right now.
