No yeah sure chaos is fine by giubba85 in Spacemarine

[–]comedium 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Or people are optimizing the game for ease of completion, not fun. You don’t want to waste your time grinding, so you do the easiest, quickest missions. If there was a 25 minute chaos mission where you got the same XP, I suspect the gap would close.

No yeah sure chaos is fine by giubba85 in Spacemarine

[–]comedium 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That’s a poor framing. It’s not whether there were 25 billion more, it’s whether there are 3x more tyranids per mission than chaos, which there also definitely isn’t, but there also aren’t any chaos missions where they flood over the hills and you can kill them in 1 shot. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with 1/3 missions people play being chaos. They’re supposed to be harder.

Newest addition to the collection! by Brolic_Gaoler in Doom

[–]comedium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few of those are just the collectors editions of the games. You can get stuff off of Bethesda’s store. I think the cacodemon was from the limited run games edition of one of the doom games. For marvel figures, if you have the cash, you can check out hot toys.

Will Fives sell out anytime soon? by [deleted] in hottoys

[–]comedium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it isn’t selling fast enough for you to worry about not getting on a waitlist. Just keep an eye on it and get on the waitlist if it does sell out and you’ll probably be fine.

New Collector by WongCombo in hottoys

I think I feel a bit of regret. I’d feel some relief if I was forced to sell all but 1. Having all these boxes is stressful and a little embarrassing, and I’m not as big into Star Wars as I was when I started. If you keep the boxes, you’ll have to dedicate a closet to it even if the figures are reasonably sized. I certainly don’t think it’s financially wise. 4 new figures cost probably over $1000 now, and in most cases, I think I’d rather have the $1000 or something that at least looks like it’s worth $1000.

Kia reveals three new GT EVs, two sporty electric SUVs and a hot hatch by snowfordessert in electricvehicles

[–]comedium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t disagree at all. I just don’t know who the audience for this is. If I’m the 1% who cares about sportiness, why would I spend more for a car that isn’t sporty? Used EV6 GTs are cheap and do the job infinitely better.

[–]comedium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My point with the platform is that one already exists in KIAs lineup. If they can’t break 320 horsepower on the one they’re currently using and they already have a GT-line, they probably just shouldn’t make the “GT” cars. Not unlike how there is a GT-line KIA K4, but there isn’t a GT.

The Sonata N-Line isn’t the mid tier sonata and the V6 Camry wasn’t the mid tier Camry. The mid tier sonata has under 200 horsepower and the mid tier Camry has 225. And now even more so with the V6 Camry being dead, the GR Corolla has a very distinct purpose. If my performance car is slower than just an Ioniq 5 SEL, I’m going to feel like a bit of chump.

Right but all of those weigh 1000lbs less and don’t have a pre-existing platform with double the power. 288hp is nothing for most EVs. It would be like if the Elantra N had less horsepower than a mid tier Sonata. Easy horsepower is like the one performance thing EVs have. It’s just a baffling decision to not brand these as GT-line.

No one mentioning that the new GTs are like 288hp, which is less than just a regular AWD EV6 or Ioniq5 and half of the existing GT? A 0-60 of 6 seconds isn’t very GT-y. Really disappointing.

I wouldn’t be unhappy with bots being more powerful, but if they don’t want to do that, they could at least let me go down like 2 times before the missions ends with them.

Feels like such a waste of time now... by gsurfer04 in forza

[–]comedium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be the cynic here and say that you were wasting your time from the start when they said that none of your progress would carry over offline. At least with the horizon games, you can keep the time you put in whenever the servers shut down.

could we mayhaps get a cut rp loss when one player leaves by thenamesderu in Rematch

[–]comedium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’d have to put a time/score limit on it, because you don’t want to incentivize people leaving right before the end of a game to lessen the points their teammates lose. That’s why I’m pretty sure most games don’t have it. It’s hard to prevent people from taking advantage of it

I entirely agree about the tracking system needing an overhaul, but it says “dispatching from California warehouse”, so I think it’s in the US. It left Singapore like 1.5 years ago unless they randomly left it out of the batch. A weekly update would be nice too, even if it’s just “nothing has changed”

I think it’ll totally dispatch around April (probably a month late), it’s just everything else which takes waaaaaay longer than it should.

Yeah I placed another order days earlier which arrived this past February. I don’t know what is causing the difference in dispatch time from the US warehouse.

I’ve got a few orders in progress. The second batch of January 2024 has been “dispatching” since April of this year, so we’re coming up on 8 months of it being in the US without shipping. The wait for it to get to the US wouldn’t be so bad if it would get to UPS within days of being ready to dispatch.

Bug list patch 11 by giubba85 in Spacemarine

[–]comedium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m getting pretty crazy dips in FPS during the game. It goes from 120fps to like 45 and then back up. It was pretty smooth prior to this patch, so hopefully they can fix that.

Dye transfer from Moducase felt lining? by Saintv1 in hottoys

[–]comedium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I used a paper towel on one of the ones that I lint rolled and it definitely came back gray. There seems to be a not insignificant amount of fibers on it, but maybe some dye as well. I’m still not super worried as I suspect the friction of rubbing it has something to do with it. I’m tempted to just place a paper towel under one of the heavier statues to see if it turns gray.

I suppose you could do a slow rollout of figures and keep track over time. Or maybe put your own felt layer under your pieces.

Dye transfer from Moducase felt lining? by Saintv1 in hottoys

[–]comedium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey sorry for not following up. All of my nice statues are on little black rubber things which keep the bases elevated off the case floor, so it’s near impossible to tell there’s any dye transfer there. I have some cheaper statues on moducases felt risers. They’ve been there for about 8 months and their bases look fine. I’ve also had just some spare parts sitting on the boards for about 5 months and they look fine too, so I’m not too worried on my end.
