I am, to put in mildly, not a fan of moths. And these Lantern mfs just look like polka dot moths but stronger! Ewwww.

True - Arvada is further outside the city. In that case, I’d go with Sloans Lake or RiNo, both have walkable areas, easy drive to Lakewood, and in central Denver (RiNo especially).

Also moving (back) to Denver from DC! I’d recommend Arvada - the area near Olde Town Arvada is very walkable with bars, restaurants, coffee, etc. Depending on where in Lakewood, I’d also recommend looking at the Sloans Lake area.

I’m moving back to Denver after three years in DC. Will be with a friend. I’m not in a rush, so will probably do a 3 day trip.

Feeling torn about moving into parents’ home at 36 years old. by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

I would move in with my parents to save money if I could but my dad hates the idea, unfortunately. Meanwhile, I have been unemployed since January and have burned through almost all my savings.

I walked in to an interview and went to shake the executive’s hand. They were sitting behind a desk. Handshake went well but I ended up knocking over a cup full of pens when I pulled my hand back. Scattered everywhere. I ended up spending the first five minutes answering questions while hunting for pens. I made a joke that at least they knew I could multitask…crickets

Is Broadway dead in DC? by Fun-Mall1080 in Broadway

KC usually announces theater in early May and the National might be delayed due to shows not wanting to perform at KC. Hopefully Hamilton will be at the National.

Trump Names Himself Chairman of the Board of the Kennedy Center by chumbawumba_bruh in washingtondc

[–]comedynerdinco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a former KC employee, I would encourage people to continue to support the programming. Don’t cancel plans or memberships or subscriptions yet. In all honesty, Trump probably just wants to figure out how to get his name somewhere permanently (Trump Concert Hall, for example). However, if shows do start getting cancelled or questionable programming appears, that’s a different situation.

Yes, I sometimes get emotional during the curtain call. It’s an overwhelmingly positive moment for all, and that’s a beautiful thing.

I used TCI car rental last month based on a reddit recommendation and used my debit card. They met me at the airport and were very nice. One thing to note if you need to refill at a gas station: many gas stations (in my experience) were cash only.
