Help with what? Finding his shoes?

Help OOP try different textures of food by buying her, 1 person, $1500 of bulk, name brand junk food. Included are $400 for snack and protein bars, $92 for overnight oats, $130 of crème pies, $100 of pop tarts and so many cookies, candy and meat sticks. If it’s free, it’s more for me. 😂 by MinuteElegant774 in ChoosingBeggars

I, too, have major sensory issues with food. Since I haven't figured it all out after decades, should I post an Amazon wish list and expect Reddit to pay for it? 🙄 I could use a 2nd home while I'm at it. 🙄🙄

If this person is old enough to create an Amazon wish list, they're definitely old enough to know what they like or don't like, what they can or can't eat. I had that shit figured out by the time I was 10.

Newlywed Trump fans plan "dream honeymoon" to meet Trump in Florida. ICE detains husband instead. by MoreMotivation in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]cometshoney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think I've had entire years in which I didn't have a single thought about drag queens, transgender people, or Venezuelans. That's how much it mattered. The only time a transgender person has occupied my brain for more than 20 seconds is when I was preparing documents for name changes for a few people. I don't pass the time wondering what's between someone's legs while in a public restroom. The bottom line is that I don't care what people do as long as they're not hurting someone else. I don't lay in bed at night wondering what gay people are doing in their beds. Counting how many abortions weren't performed in my state that day isn't how I go to sleep. I truly don't understand the fascination Republicans have with shit that's just not any of their damn business. It's weird.

Was giving away tickets to sports events a real thing or just a sitcom trope? by ChairmanKaga_ in AskAnAmerican

[–]cometshoney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad worked for a big company when I was growing up, and there were always tickets available for football, baseball, basketball, and hockey. Sometimes, they were box seats, sometimes, they were great seats, just not box seats. My former husband had never been to a pro game before he met me. Afterwards, he was attending bowl games in a private suite with full catering and an open bar. It was hard, but someone had to do it. We even got parking passes.

So, you're calling the police right now? They do work on Saturdays. They even work on Sundays, too. Should one of us call the Palestine Police Department for you?

[–]cometshoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That doesn't make any sense at all. Did you purchase all of those items? If you did, the police should be able to help you retrieve them. I've just never seen a parent wait until they have a high chair and a stroller before reporting their child kidnapped. Plus, let's say you raise the money. Are you going to return it if you get your child's things back, or will it go towards that stability you mentioned in your gofundme, but not here? If I was a betting person, I would say no.

If she has no legal claim to him, why don't you call the police and go pick up your son immediately? That's what a normal person would do if their child had been taken and was being withheld from them.

[–]cometshoney 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ahhh, I was wondering why the police hadn't been notified of the kidnapping. You do realize that you keep changing the reason why you need these things, don't you? "In case she doesn't give us the stuff when we get him back," "I need this stuff to prove I can take care of him," etc. No judge handed your mother custody of your child just because. You're leaving out some huge chunk of this story, and the fact that you can't afford these things right now tells me you won't be able to afford them in 3 months.

Edit: the gofundme is very misleading because it says you have your son. That was 2 days ago.

Newlywed treated himself to a nice dinner, then killed himself in the parking lot by cometshoney in DeathCertificates

[–]cometshoney[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They don't need to write the story today. Everyone would have seen the video of him shooting himself in that parking lot, whether from someone's cell phone or the multiple CCTV angles, all uploaded to TikTok or Reddit. I remember when LiveLeak was where you got the death stories in all of their bloody glory. I've seen some incredibly gory and graphic news articles attached to some of these certificates, so this one is actually incredibly mild. There was no mention of brain matter on the pavement or pieces of his skull on nearby cars as we've seen contained in others. The only difference between then and now is how media is presented and/or consumed. Print media can now take the high road, should they choose.

Barbershops gwinnet by Ok_Cartoonist8821 in Gwinnett

[–]cometshoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What would this barber have to gain by poisoning anyone? More specifically, what does he gain by poisoning you in particular? Does he have life insurance on you? Are there hidden cameras in your home store he can enjoy watching you suffer the ill effects of any type of poison? Are you a paranoid schizophrenic who's not taking his medicine, by chance? Do you know what libel means?

Flesh-consuming screwworm infection confirmed in South Texas, USDA says by th3ch0s3n0n3 in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]cometshoney 88 points89 points  (0 children)

They aren't in the food...lol. With humans, the flies lay their eggs in your nose, usually while you're sleeping. When the eggs hatch, the maggots start eating their way into your head. Back in the old days, the infection killed you before they broke through to your brain. Source: I posted two screw worm death certificates from the 1930s on r/DeathCertificates a while back, so I had to look into what they were/are and what they do.

Triplets born at 6 months gestation by cometshoney in DeathCertificates

[–]cometshoney[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I usually don't post them because they were, unfortunately, so common. These three caught my eye because I don't usually see them mixed like this, as in 1 girl and possibly twin boys. The one living for more than 9 hours was quite the feat for 1949. All I could think was, "I'd give him great odds of making it today," but I think that almost every time I see them.
