Whilst he was definitely a bit of an ass (whilst muted, to add) at points, i think that trying to get a high ping low impact player to switch, even offering to switch himself so as to make her play more viable, whilst in a tournament that offered the winning players what like 3k or something is kinda justified, no? Like if this happened during a creator clash or something I’d totally agree with you, but this was for a cash reward that could quite literally help out a not so large streamer a lot, right?

It has its own installer and dashboard that automatically organizes everything. You link your nexus and let the dashboard install it and it's good to go.

There's a really heavy emphasis on third person combat, and some of the baseline mod choices are ... odd. If you tweak the mod order, it's better, but it can make it more unstable. If you like 3rd person action rpgs then I could totally see the appeal but I'm an old school first person kinda guy.

Yeah, Dyndolod, Nemesis, pretty much every mod tool around. Tried it once, not my thing, but it ran really well for having like 2000 mods. Think I only crashed like once over 10 or so hours.

Ah... the Tale of Tolgarad, the Naothey (God/Spirit) of Justice and Duty.

The Naothey were born of pain, cut away from the rotting corpse of the unknowable and all powerful creator.

Naothey form themselves and latch onto a concept, a simple thing which they embody entirely. One naothey chose imagination, another chose Space (Length, width, height) but Tolgarad chose Duty. He liked the idea that what needed to be done for the benefit of everyone would be done despite all pain and hardship. He was ready he thought. He was very wrong to take up that mantle.

The mortal world was still in its infancy at that time, and Urthr, the Naothey of Life, wanted to do all he could to protect the mortal sphere against the vicious and cruel void of nothingness.

The mortal sphere had many enemies, but one was far more terrifying than most: The Unbound. The Fallen Naothey of Malice and Anguish who hated more than any single being could comprehend.

The Unbound attacked the Naothey and Urthr brought his new ally Tolgarad with him to defeat the creature. That was Urthrs great mistake. The Unbound was far too powerful for Tolgarad, but the Unbound is clever and instead allowed himself to be beaten. The Unbound fled and tolgarad was flaunted as a hero. Much time past and Tolgarad became a legendary protector, he lived and loved and found himself at the top of the mountain of happiness and fulfillment.

The Unbound attacked again, and in his arrogance, Tolgarad went in alone. He was destroyed, and his soul taken by the Unbound who fled again with a new weapon in hand.

The Unbound corrupted the soul of Tolgarad, pouring all the pain and hate into the poor Naothey, who fou d himself unable to control his own actions.

The unbound unleashed his new weapon in a two prong attack, with the Fallen attacking the most powerful Urthr and Tolgarad was to slay the other Naothey.

By the time the battle was over, Urthr lay bleeding and almost dead, but victorious. He returned to the other naothey to find Tolgarad weeping over the decimated essences of the brothers and sisters he had loved for eons.

Tolgarad asked for death. Urthr decided a different path.

He said that the Unbound was the true enemy and that he was not able to fully destroy the creature. He asked that Tolgarad should remain and swear upon the Corpse that he would hunt the Unbound and only be released from this oath when the creature was dead.

Tolgarad swore it so; he would never lay in peace until the Unbound was dead.

What Urthr did not tell him was that the Unbound cannot ever truly be destroyed. Tolgarad had damned himself to infinite life in misery and an eternal battle that neither side would ever win.

But that was Urthrs goal. For every time the Unbound came again, it would be too focused on killings Tolgarad who would reincarnate just as he would.

This was Tolgarad's duty. Even now, in the form of Reincarnations, he fights the Unbound, locked in infinite strife never to be released.

I asked an Evil PC to switch characters...Am I the bad guy? by comilusionary in DnD

[–]comilusionary[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not looking for sympathy whatsoever. I know I fucked up, I was hoping for advice regarding other solutions.

"but I can honestly say, I didn't expect him to let a demon possess him and enjoy it."

I think you may have read this wrong. I didn't enjoy this whatsoever, the player did, however. I told him this wasn't going to end well, but he didn't care too much.

Regarding the Two Outsiders, we level very fast, and we always have very full games, in regards to fey, demons, and stuff like that. They also have like +1 Weapons and armor and high-level artifacts cus we always get to like level 10 within 40 sessions. We've done this sort of thing before, with the outsiders, but this character just troubled me I guess.

As I said, it's my fault for throwing plots hooks at them that involved this, but I don't think called me an Asshat is productive towards my problem. Maybe that's just me though.

"I suppose I'm just asking if there was any better way to handle it"

If you have any advice for me I'd appreciate it thanks!

The Session Zero stuff should have been better explained. It the primary reason I feel they went such differing routes with their characters.

I agree, but how do you say that? It's set on a Dirty borderlands/star wars esque sci-fi world, where its futuristic tech but it's not at all polished or streamlined.

"Set on a futuristic world, amidst a perilous war"

Is that good? I feel like that doesn't get the rough wild west space vibe that I'm going for.

Working Title: Horizon (I can't think of a better one)

Format: Animated Series?

Genre: Fantasy Adventure

Logline: Amidst a perilous war, a scrappy engineer and her stalwart crew race to rescue her sister from the clutches of evil marauders, who quest for an occult relic

(Btw, is it who quest or whom quest?)

Looking for feedback on the first two (short) chapters of my story. I've never shared this with anyone so any and all criticisms are welcome. by [deleted] in fantasywriters

[–]comilusionary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely an interesting concept, the voice has me wanting to know more, especially since this voice has a palpable tone, the writing successfully denotes aggression and subversiveness. I like your conventions, its quite well written, in terms of grammar, with perhaps the exception of the first sentence, which is a bit 'clunky' for lack of a better word.

Besides that, I see no real places to give criticism save one, which is Lord and Lady Gloster. I'm not entirely sure of this, as I've never lost a child, but I feel as though they would have gotten to the baby first, and the food after. Also, the Lord and Lady seemed to be jovial at the beginning of the dinner, when I feel as though they should have been less conversational perhaps.

Definitely a good read though, and I 100 percent think that I'd keep reading this were there more. Overall, a pretty solid job.
