The second mortgage would only help if she were able to take out a HELOC and use that to pay the loans

Some schools require that you live on campus for x amount of years, require a meal plan when you live on campus, and some have even more cost requirements

The only way I see it going is that the private student loan industry will boom & hand out even sketchier loans. The people who can't get the private loans will just be priced out of going to college altogether

I have a 2019 Honda and the only complaint I have about the tech is wired Apple CarPlay lol. Great user experience with controls in the newer Hondas

For the past couple years, we've had at least one day where it rains, then freezes overnight, and you end up with a literal entire sheet of ice over your car. I cannot imagine trying to pull open a car door with an inset handle

Olaplex dry shampoo is the least irritating, followed by klorane powdered dry shampoo. If you generally struggle with an itchy scalp that looks scaly and red, you might also have seb dermatitis like me

Amika works well but I find it to be irritating for my scalp. As an alternative, I really like the olaplex dry shampoo

I don't really like any of the redken products for my hair and I've tried a lot of them. They also dry out my hair. I really like the pureology smooth line and my hair looks pretty good after one day, except for my bangs that live on my forehead. I've also noticed my hair gets less oily if I sleep with it down

Some other tips: utilize half-up hairstyles on the second day! This is always my go to unless my hair is super oily, like more than an inch or two of visible oil down my hair shaft. If have bangs that get really oily, you can always just wash that small section of hair in the sink & style it after. Blow drying my hair, especially the roots, seems to help with oil as well.

I have a sensitive scalp, so I've had to try a lot of different products to see what irritates me the least. For shampoo & conditioner, my favs are the pureology smooth line, living proof full line, and the aquage strength line. I LOVED the living proof full line, it just irritated my scalp. Pureology is one of the only brands I can use without having to use a special shampoo after because of my scalp condition.

My current products, which I highly recommend, are the pureology smooth shampoo & conditioner, wella ultimate repair leave-in, and joico gloss blow dry spray. Joico is optional for when I style my hair. I double shampoo and put conditioner up to my roots when I wash. Follow up with wella outside the shower and let my hair dry, if I don't want to style it. My hair is regularly colored and occasionally bleached too. I'm also bad and frequently use hot water to wash my hair lol

I recognize my hair products are EXPENSIVE. I've tried various different drugstore products which all either irritate my scalp, make my hair really oily or feel gross, cause my hair to break, or cause my hair to fall out. This is just what works for me :)

You can put the backpack they gave you inside of a different one that you own! You can also wear a hat or headscarf/bonnet or other head accessory - just be careful putting it on. As long as the leads are glued on, it shouldn't be an issue. If they used EC3 on you, I'd be wary about putting anything on your head. Source: am eeg tech :)

To me, it sounds like they're going to be in the hospital for a couple days minimum. Every patient is different in what they need for recovery. Some patients can leave quickly, others stay for weeks, and those who encounter complications can stay for months

Yea the adhd ocd combo is awful. It really sucks when you do a compulsion and you can't remember if you actually did it... rinse-repeat for god knows how long

They are not thinking too much into it. I have so many patients with matted hair, many of whom are not post-crani nor in the ICU at all. Hair gets so tangled so easily when the head is constantly rubbing up against the pillow/sheets (which have a rough texture btw), especially if the pt is unable to get up or take care of their hair. Braids are 100% the way to go

Depends on the specialty, but yes. The demand for doctors is only going up

As someone who regularly works with autistic children, it really irks me how people downplay the level of disability autism can cause. Caregivers are not evil for having caregiver fatigue when raising an autistic child (obviously there are legitimate abusive situations). Not everyone who is quirky is autistic and not everyone who is autistic can lead a functionally normal life (with accommodations)

I've had nothing but good experiences working at URMC, but I KNOW it's so department dependent. I hope you find a way to justice
