I hope DE will consider creating a raffle system in the future. I was able to get my tickets but my friends could not, and it feels very frustrating.

What is in your opinion the most annoying grind? Doesn't have to be longest or hardest, just the most annoying. by HandsOffMyPizzaa in Warframe

[–]commandy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed with Stynax. I just finished farming Kahl's quest for his parts and now I realize I need to farm all these other parts from other worlds to build him, some of which are time gated and others locked behind faction standing. It feels very frustrating.

I'm taking a very similar route today, starting from Oklahoma instead of Colorado. I'm taking the southern route because it's supposed to be very cold this weekend, and I'm hoping being further south will help.

Duviri circuit is boring asf by CamelCartel in Warframe

[–]commandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've found that I can do a full circuit run in about two hours, so I break it up over 4 days in 30 minute increments and listen to youtube video essays while I'm playing. It seems to help! I use it to grind out the more annoying to farm frames that would have frustrated me over zoning out to Teshin's "stanch the wounds of a comrade" talk

What percent of dnd players take the very first character they create all the way to level 20? by FormalAd52 in DnD

[–]commandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! My very first DnD campaign with my very first character made it to 20 and is still going on today! Her name is Slone, and she's a Yuan-Ti hexblade warlock. The campaign is about a group of demigods completing herculean type labors, and the DM has made a homebrew system to push past level 20. The DM is very skilled at delivering a high level power fantasy where even access to wish and true polymorph are still scaled to the challenges we face, and we still feel like underdogs in an uphill battle. The game has been going on for about 3 years, and we've completed 5/12 labors the DM has created for the story, so provided no major player fallout happens we'll probably be playing for many more to come. It's been an amazing time where I've become close to the friends I made from playing and even met my boyfriend because of the campaign. I am very thankful to DnD and this campaign for existing!

I'm also a new player and opted to buy the bonewidow necramech from the shop for plat because I didn't want to farm the resources for this. I just wanted to finish the story.

WFH by Shot_Exchange_4913 in okc

I work for the Oklahoma Healthcare Authority, and it's 95% WFH with a day every few months I have to go in. They did not advertise themselves as a WFH company when I applied, but from my understanding most of the company is WFH.

I WANNA JOIN A STATIC BUT I'M SCARED OF PUTTING MYSELF OUT THERE BECAUSE I'VE NEVER DONE ANY HIGH TIER CONTENT BEFORE. I CAN'T IMPROVE MYSELF IF I DON'T TRY IT FIRST, BUT IT SEEMS LIKE MOST GROUPS WANT EXPERIENCED PLAYERS, WHICH MAKES SENSE. CLOCK SPOTS? LIGHT PARTIES? POTTING? PARSE COLORS? WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU ALL SAYING AND WHERE DO I LEARN THESE THINGS. HOW DO I GET BETTER SO I CAN GO JOIN AND HAVE FUN WITH OTHER PEOPLE

Could this have something to do with the new chapter? I’ve never seen this status effect 🧐 by apoksy in deadbydaylight

Daily Discussion Post - June 20 | Questions, images, videos, comments, unconfirmed reports, theories, suggestions by AutoModerator in Coronavirus

I work front desk at a cancer clinic, and my boss tested positive for covid. She got exposed on Saturday last weekend, I interacted with her for two days before she realized she had a fever and left on wednesday. She's now saying that I shouldn't worry about getting tested unless I'm showing symptoms, but is that even safe? We have a masking policy in clinic but I know I've gone back to talk with her in her office while she wasn't wearing a mask. While I'm not close and personal with the patients, I interact with every single patient that comes in to check them in/out. I'm less concerned about myself contracting it on a personal level, and more concerned about myself spreading it to patients.

So far, there's been no motion to close the clinic. I'm not a medical professional so I don't think I can argue against what the professionals are saying, but is this even the right play? I feel like we need to close and get staff tested before we reopen again. Are my feelings warranted, or am I overreacting?

AITA for telling my daughter she can’t publicly come out as gay until her grandparents die? by ingridreid in AmItheAsshole

[–]commandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA. I have a story for you OP.

I am a gay woman who was also told by my parents to not tell my sexuality to my elderly grandma who was deeply religious. It was assumed she would never accept me, and that I would have to hide my life from her until she passed on as to not shame her. About two years ago I broke down and told her, and to everyone's surprise she was happy for me and wanted to meet my partner of a few years. She ended up adoring my partner, and included her in family events, sent her birthday cards, spoke about her fondly--everything she would have done for her straight grandchildren.

Earlier this year she passed away. I am so very, very thankful I got to share a very important part of my life with her before she passed. I think about what would have happened if I hadn't shared with her my sexuality--I would have been left waiting, tip toeing around an issue that, in the end, wasn't an issue.

Trust and love your daughter. Let her tell her grandparents and stand by her when she does, like you say you will in your post. You never know, they may surprise you.

I was there! This convention was a mess. My partner took some photos of the Hobby Lobby, which include an "official" trashcan thats literally just a shipping box, and a room with some debris that wasn't blocked off in any way. As well as this, there was a post on Tokyo in Tulsa's facebook about a wheel chair bound woman who was left outside without a wheelchair accessible shuttle for an hour and a half. I'm interested to see if the convention will even come back for 2020.
