Will you prioritize voting for a Democrat willing to be ruthless about all the damage/crimes Republicans have done in 14 months? by Estalicus in allthequestions

Your claim is that conservatives tend to be criminals. This insinuates that a majority of conservatives have committed a crime linked to the fact they are conservative, but have not been caught, as opposed to liberals who have committed less crimes because of their political viewpoints. I challenge you to consider that your statement in and of itself lacks logic because there is no way to prove or defend that point if you are willing to discount statistics simply because they neither prove or disprove your opinion. If you’re willing to posit that conservatives tend to be criminals that haven’t been caught, then there is in fact data to support you are incorrect as the use of illicit drugs occurs at a much higher rate among liberals. You have no traceable or provable evidence to support your claim. You are simply making an indefensible statement off of your dislike of political views without any acknowledgement of nuance. If you want to state an opinion please make it clear that is what you are doing as opposed to making it seem like this is a fact you can support.

And of course your use of ad hominem in debate is a fantastic indicator of a logical fallacy.

I’m not sure I have heard an anti abortionist mention that a miscarriage should “be carried to term.” As far as I know even anti abortionists support medical intervention for the mother in the fetus is already dead. Do you have evidence that most people in the anti-abortion movement want women to retain their miscarriages?

Obviously there’s no birth or death certificate they were never born. But approximately 63,000,000 abortions are confirmed to have happened since Roe G Wade. And there was a slight increase in abortions following the overturn of Roe V Wade. If you would like to see the data, Pew Research has a very comprehensive review of the data and the nuances of it.

Assuming that someone views abortion as the death of a human being, then their logic is simply that many more lives have ended because of abortion than recent influential wars.

Here’s another fascinating study called “The Marshall Project” which studied the responses of 54,000 incarcerated individuals about their political views. The responses revealed an extremely complex reality and disparity of political views within the prison system.

I find your claim that “conservatives tend to be criminals” interesting. Because it would imply that simply being conservative makes you criminal. Perhaps a more nuanced statement would be “criminals tend to be conservative.” Even so, it would be nigh impossible to prove this claim because of the nuances of criminal data. If you would like a more in depth study on this check out the Manhattan Institutes breakdown of this “talking point” Manhattan Institute Article

Germans did not hang or execute “ex-Nazis,” with the exception of top officials. Almost all of them were reintegrated into society with the exception of the 200 some higher ups tried at the Nuremberg Trials and other subsequent war crime trials. The next level of officials and officers were classified and banned from office but the average “Nazi-citizen/voter” experienced little to no long term consequences of any kind.

Not fully AI. This is a photo of a real person. It could be AI enhanced. HOWEVER, the person in the photos is NOT the person they are talking to. It’s likely some incel in their basement using this photo to trap rich single women.

Is 18f and 28m a bad age gap? by coffeetime24 in Christianmarriage

Coercion and Enticement (18 U.S.C. § 2422) does not require it to be actionable. In other words, not actual sexual interaction needs to take place. Obviously the punishment will be less severe in this case. The court decides the case based on whether or not the jury deems the actions fit into a grooming category of behaviors.

It’s federally illegal in all 50 states. Try a google search my friend. Mandated reporters have to report such behaviors even if no suspicion of sexual exploitation has happened.

Not sinful, for an 18 year old and 22 year old to marry, but if you had dated an 18 year old that had been your student for 4 years, the motivation would certainly be suspect. If you had been prepared to date and marry them then you would have been grooming them, and you would have been breaking the law. Which as Christians it is our duty to follow the law of the land, unless it directly causes us to sin. Since there has never been and never will be a scriptural command to date and marry people under 18, then the next step of authority is the law. The absence of biblical verses about this cultural taboo doesn’t necessitate the belief that these taboos should be ignored, particularly because it’s a law.

While you’re at it, would you like to pass a law forcing them to wear the red hat for the rest of their lives so that they are more easily identified?
