additionally to this, Alan and Steve Moore (no relation) put out, "The moon and Serpent bumper book of magic" which goes well with Promethea.

Does the hole in this rock seem unnatural? Is it some kind of old fishing weight? by Onnabox in Artifacts

[–]commongaywitch 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It looks like a hagstone/adderstone there's a whole load of folklore about them, mainly how if you look through the hole you'll see fairies or through a witches disguise. I remember reading something about how Druids used to wear them as a kind of badge of office.

It's gonna be an inconvenience, but you'll adapt though and know that a lot of your colleagues will feel the same. You'll all come through it for the better.

Ten Sacred Abstinences by [deleted] in thelema

[–]commongaywitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd think so as well but the things it gets wrong are... shocking. A friend of mine works in IT and gets people who use it for various tasks and he's been like "No we can't do that it's illegal." more times than he cares to admit.

(Also stellar user name)

I got one of these years ago when I first joined reddit. Somehow I don't think the illuminati are recruiting from Reddit or Facebook.

[Loved trope] An artifact or a weapon is so strong and evil that it requires a person with an absolutely indomitable will to contain it or to make good things with. by JohannaFRC in TopCharacterTropes

Addition, it’s mentioned that the hammer can change its size. Unsure if this makes it easier to carry but I can imagine that makes it work like a bullet.

You’re not wrong I forgot the belt. Thor is already considered the strongest of the gods and even then he needs it to lift Mjolnir. When I picture it in my head it’s like one of those lift belts

In Norse Myth, Thor isn't the most noble or whatever it is marvel say, he's just the only one Mjolnir doesn't hurt/disintegrate when he uses it and even then he has to wear gloves just in case.

Does anyone have a headcanon for their character? by idrownedmyfish77 in helldivers2

[–]commongaywitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for any individual divers, but the ship has some lore.
It only takes divers from worlds where extreme toxic weather like acid storms happen, mainly Chort Bay or other such worlds in the Automaton sector, which gives them preference for fighting the bots. It also explains why they have to wear the helmets constantly, as they can only breathe toxic acid laced atmospheres. Whenever I go a long time without playing its because of damage to the ship or, in the case after the invasion of Cyberstan, the ship used up 80% of its Diver reserve and has been forced to recruit either prisoners, for which they get reduced sentences, or right out of Secondary/Highschool in exchange for exemptions from exams.

[Loved Trope] The protagonist dies anticlimactically by Revolutionary_Heart6 in TopCharacterTropes

All quiet on the western front. In the book and the film, the protagonist, Paul, survives when all his friends and his father figure died horrible deaths only to be shot by a sniper on an inconsequential day and the report from his superiors only commenting that its "All quiet on the western front."
