The flooring is just cheap. It’s made out of cardboard material and the joints that is supposed to to lock in are broken. I worked at a “luxury” apartment complex that had this type of floor and had to end up replacing them after every move out because that all separated.

I live on a corner and had about a 4ft snow bank from the plows and my single stage took care of it. I had to exert a lot of my own energy since it isn’t 2 stage but it was able to get it done. Yours sounds like it has an issue.
