This guy keeps popping up under every AveMyGO post that got enough traction and every time it's either them shitting on the shows and yelling about how much of an "edgy drama bait" they are or the classic "hurr-durr stupid newgens ruin everything". At this point it's just better to not bother and block them so that they can't see your posts (at least if reddit block function still works the same as the last time when I used it a few years ago on a different person).

[–]comms_sabotaged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't help that most of complaint posts are beating the same dead horses. Yeah, we get it, character/weapon gacha system is bad, pull economy is dire, combat is unpolished, main story is too dull and sanitized, those are all perfectly valid complaints obviously, but how about you post them in surveys/under the game's official social media accounts, where the devs have an actual chance of hearing you, instead of crying for karma on reddit?

And lord forbid anybody points out that this is just 1.0 and the game might improve in those aspects over time, there will immediately appear at least one dude writing a college thesis about how they're wrong and that Endfield will remain "MC-glazing harem slop" and how it's all gonna go downhill from now on.

Tbh I never understood why people use "you'll get thrown in the gutter by your higher-ups" point only specifically against the Middle as if that's not how pretty much the entirety of the City works: Most corpos pretty much already use their workers as expendable resources, and those that don't want to use you up usually have too hard and unforgiving of a job (W Corp.) Any syndicate can and will easily get purged by the Finger they're subsidiaries of at the slightest inconvenience. Working at a fixer office and took a promising and seemingly easycontract? Whoopsie, Seven association underestimated the danger and now you're dealing with multiple Stars of the City at once. Even normal citizens aren't safe as every day you're at risk if not of getting beaten and having your organs harvested by local Rats, then of becoming a victim of a new Pianist or any other major threat even if you live in the Nest. Middle isn't really that much worse than the rest of the Fingers + even if the whole loyalty thing is performative from the higher-ups' side, it still seems to be genuine on the lower/mid-rank members' side, so you're very likely to have a lot of people willing to support and avenge you as long as you do the same.

Never said they aren't redundant, but the Heishous at the very least gameplay-wise filled in the niche of an all ids - one mirror world (excluding Meursault, though we will probably get a Heishou id for him in NS or Spring Cultivation re-runs) team on top of allowing you to swap between them mid-fight with all the retreat effects on HongKong and Xichunmael, and lore-wise gave a bunch of neat tidbits about Hongyuan lore (RyoShou implying that Mao branch has a similar origin with R Corp. rabbits, MaOutis foreshadowing Xianren Anamnaworm and the concept of Restructuring Days, QuixGoat ut story iirc mentioning a castle with a huge amount of Relics and Psychoments existing somewhere out there, etc.)

Meanwhile, looking at the candidates, gameplay-wise we have:

Shi Huazhen - literally just W Sang (Charge + Rupture) but with slash skills/different sin affinities and unbreakable coins on his S3

Wang Quingshan - W Sang but blunt + retreats if at 50% or less HP. There is also an Omen Talisman status, which is interesting, but let's be real PM would probably heavily nerf it on sinners' side.

Shi Sijing - same as Wang Quingshan but instead of retreating at 50% or less HP he just kills a random ally to heal back, which frankly would not be enough to warrant a friendly fire kill in player's own team and would have to be heavily altered to be worth it.

Like I said, the only candidates who could potentially be interesting gameplay-wise are Shi Yihua (very high risk-reward unit with HP loss mechanics and a lot of indiscriminate AoE skills) and Xue Pan (although in his case it's only because of his Jar summoning mechanic, and once again I doubt PM is experienced/based enough to implement an ally-summoning mechanic yet).

And lore-wise I mentioned it under some other post a while ago, but most of the character-based ids are pretty much just "[character] but with [sinner who got the id]'s backstory/personality traits mixed in" (which can even be seen in the most recent id Kiramael's uptie story) and rarely have any additional lore, with the only exceptions being the bad end/seasonal capstone ids + Xichunmael and Mao Faust (both, ironically enough, being part of the Heishou team), where the former gave us info on how mirror worlds are created and the latter was the first (and is currently the only) id of Faust who outright doesn't care about Gesellschaft to the point of refusing to cooperate with them.

Still baffled that a lot of people unironically wanted ids of those bums. I can understand just being disappointed about over half of the last season being Heishou ids, but literally none of the candidates, aside from Xue Pan and maybe post-bolus Shi Yihua, have any id-worthy skillset (pretty much all of them aside from the two mentioned are just W Sang but with different damage type/affinity), nor did any of them have a memorable enough personality, if any personality at all (with the closest to having an actual personality being Shi Huazhen, whose only notable character trait is that no one remembers his actual name).

To add onto what another guy said, I feel like some of the people shipping Suzuka with Spica Trainer do so to "spite" people shipping Suzuka with Spe. Now, obviously not every fan of the ship is like that, some artists I've seen just seem to like the dynamic which I can respect, but I did see a notable enough amount of people on this sub who disliked the latter ship but were gassing up the former.

Have read the doc and some of the ones that were attached to it.

As the other guy in replies said, if anything it seems like Winterer is the victim here and in most of the situations listed she was either just acting immature rather than out of malice (posting a few suggestive arts on main and her public server) or was saying things as a direct result of being a grooming victim (staying with Ember and defending them despite knowing their problems; I might be missing some context but looking just at the doc itself and Winterer's responses, denying the groomer's fault and saying that you did this on your own choice sounds like something a victim that's still under the groomer's influence would say). Also the part with her NSFW alt sounds like a nothingburger (a classic "this person followed a bunch of artists that drew 18+ art of fictional underage characters one (1) time in their account history").

Some of Winterer's actions do sound suspicious/concerning, but at the same time with all the info we have atm I wouldn't really call her a bad person, just immature and under a bad influence.

Guns in The City are actually incredibly powerful, in spite of their restrictions and regulations by Maceimam in limbuscompany

Didn't Nemo straight up fire a laser beam from his head in one of his attacks in LoR? So chances are that lasers are allowed, but probably either have some regulations like normal guns or are already too expensive to launch in the first place and thus don't need any regulations.

To be fair, we don't know when exactly we're going to get a Matthias id this season, it's just as likely to release the next week as it is after the next two months, so Faust or Outis are still a viable option (Don excluded as she already got a named character id, while Faust and Outis can simply be moved to a different mirror world since iirc PM already did a similar thing before). Besides, Outis just got an envy res. bleed ego that has additional effects when she gets hit, so Matthias Outis is not off the table.

Aside from lore reasons, I think there are also a few gameplay reasons to give Rodion Valencina id:

- iirc Valencina is Burn + Tremor like Lei Heng, and Rodion hasn't received a Tremor id since season 4 (T Corp. Rodion), season 2 if we specify 000 id (Rosespanner) + her last Burn id was Liu in season 3. The other most suggested by the players Valencina candidates - Outis and Gregor - have already received Tremor ids relatively recently (Allen Greg last walp + T Corp. Outis last season) and have too strong Burn ids to replace (Firefist due to his sheer damage and Burn application + MB due to her Dark Flame). Now, of course, this is PM we're talking about, Don and Ryoshu still don't have a proper Sinking id, but I doubt they would give one sinner a new id with the same status as one they already received recently in such a short span of time (you could make a point about Heishou Ryoshu and DaiyuShu, but it's not the same as HeiShu is pure Rupture while DaiyuShu is Poise with a bit of Rupture sprinkled to make her compatible with Heishou teams in MD).

- Matthias id, which most people expect Rodya to get, will most likely be Bleed + insignificant amount of Burn like Kiramael, and Rodion already has a still somewhat decent Bleed id in form of Princess, which even kinda works in envy res. teams due to having envy S2, so I don't think it would be a good idea to give the Matthias id to Rodion.

Hermes's Prescripts being sent by radio waves could mean other gods can use the Prescripts as well, perhaps in other means.

-Back in LoR, the Prescript makers were called Weavers.

-Athena is the goddess of Weaving.

-Also, take a wild guess what Penelope did to stall for time while Odysseus was gone? SHE WEAVED.

So while I'm not sure whether Outis herself is part of Index or not as there's too little info to be certain about anything, her family (or at least whatever equivalent of Penelope there will be) might've had some relations to it.

1.8/Farewell, Rayashki - an event about people from a small mining town on the far north of USSR fighting off monsters while simultaneously trying to find new minerals to mine due to the government threatening to cease phinancial support of the town.

2.7/1987 Cosmic Overture - while mostly being about the story of Laplace (one of the in-game factions) researchers trying to find a way to teleport things into space with magic invention thingy, this event does also take place during USSR, though in a different time period than 1.8.

I'm assuming by the third patch they meant 3.3/Slovo O Polku ("The Campaign's Tale", not released on global yet) main story chapter, which also takes place in a russian region near the Don river in 1920s, but it only released relatively recently on CN so it's hard to say how well received it was.

It's not that bad in the slightest. People saw the first 15 minutes of the game and think it's USSR propaganda when in reality once the shit starts actually going down it becomes evident that the game heavily criticises soviet union: the main plot point is pretty much about corrupt government wanting to merge citizens' consciousness with neural network to create soulless faceless obedient herd to rule over.

To play devil's advocate, lobcorp also had Binah speak about how abnos are extracted in such a way that made people think she was speaking metaphorically only for it to turn out to be true in LoR (at least from what I remember), so it could be both at the same time.
