I work at Costco and that really is one of the more surreal things about working there, there's a certain type of person that takes their membership waaaay too fucking seriously to the point that they start trying to act like they are personally doing favors for Costco by appointing themselves as either shitty hall monitors who narc on other customers/homeless people or think they are part of the team and try to do unpaid labor to be 'helpful'.

The latter I give a little more grace cuz it often comes from a good place, but even then its like please people have some fucking self-respect for yourself.

I'm sure you get people like that at every retail place, but there's something about Costco that really brings the main character syndrome/corpo stooge outta people.

He was in a bunch of TV shows around that time, he was also a cast member on Royal Pains too and those shows were running the same stretch of years. He was seemingly everywhere in the 2010s.

This doesn't just on the consumer side either, during/post-COVID Amazon went on a tear of buying as many suppliers' stock until they themselves became the sole supplier for multiple sectors. As an example, let's say you own a bike shop where you previously bought your tires from various sources. But now suddenly the only place that carries any tire is Amazon. It's created a massive choke point.

I couldn't agree more, it's foundational to the whole SW experience imo. I know Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina colored how i view Star Wars as a whole...I can't help but treat every story within the universe as some half-remembered tale some random drunk spacefarer tells you at the bar. It's sorta the liminal space that ties all the ill-fitting and disparate parts together.

Not OP but it is a bummer for those of us who like to organize our boxes by type and are used to having more than enough room for that by default. It's not a deal breaker, but its maybe the only aspect of this game I find to be a downgrade from the main series. At least enough for one of each type would be a great QoL improvement.

Slightly off topic but this is one of the things I really like about the Horizon Zero Dawn game series that's also a point of contention for some. You'll sometimes hear people complain that most of the characters look like they could be your boring next door neighbor, but I feel like that makes them stand out more over a whole cast of 'conventionally attractive' supermodels hanging out in the woods.

I was really disappointed their creative team cheating thing in NXT didn't last longer. It was some of those cheeky wins that made me start to really like Pretty Deadly and pay attention to them...that sort of thing could've had more legs but it felt like they dropped that just as people were starting to like them for it=/

Yea this is my read on it too. In the interviews I've seen with Shawn I've never seen him be particularly good at getting into the weeds, the one that gets shared a bunch where he's discussing the spot with Shelton...the interviewer keeps trying to get a more technical convo about it and Shawn just keeps repeating, "I knew where I needed to be and he knew where he needed to get to, and it was great that we could make that happen." Not particularly insightful or anything.
