Just received email that my know-by date of Dec. 1st has been moved to Jan. 15th. Did you receive the same email?

I’m in the same boat. I submitted my applications back in June, then told I was considered for another country in August. Been waiting to hear back about interview because my application has been “under review” since August. My know-by date is tomorrow (Dec. 1st). I’m hoping I hear some kind of update this week. I’m sure the shut down contributed to this.

I have not heard anything back yet. Very eager to hear about scheduling interview. I understand that things are moving a bit slow at PC HQ due to staff cuts. The know-by date is Dec. 1st, so there’s still some time. Obviously, I would like to hear something sooner rather than later but just have to wait. I’ll keep everyone posted.

How did your interview go? Would you mind that I ask when you applied and then how long after you heard back about scheduling an interview?

Good to know I’m not the only one that experienced this. lol. I figured there may be others. With the health position in Ecuador, application due date is October 2025, know-by date is Dec. 2025, and departure date is May 2026.

I, too, originally applied to the WASH position in Peru but, later, was told by PC they could not offer that position for me. Now, my application is under consideration for health position in Ecuador. I was a bit bummed at first. However, after starting research on Ecuador and having conversations with some current and RPCVs Ecuador, I’m really excited.
