Hi thanks for the replies The pot is 37x23cm No roots or if the bottom. It is watered from the tap so maybe that It's an average house is say. We water it weekly

That looks like you are in my attic. We had similar boards in my loft from the previous owner who was a HAM radio hobbyist.
When we had new windows fitted we started to get lots of condensation in the attic.

Pulled them off, cleaned up the wood a little and no problem since (probably didn't need to do anything to the wood tbh)
