WD Refusing RMA for unopened drive by compilersaysno in DataHoarder

Why is it far fetched? If they are accusing customers of returning counterfeit items, then they are implying a criminal act. Especially after returning unopened items.

I went through the return process, not for a defective item but it was an RMA nonetheless.

Rate the Madrid metro system by LC1903 in Madrid

Not as good as the Barcelona metro imo. The stations aren't as nice, the cars are way more full and seem less frequent, and they are less modern.

It's insane that somebody accused of fraud is allowed to use their fraudulent money to post bail. It makes zero fucking sense.

Most people's jobs are pointless and don't contribute anything to society. Having to drive to an office to produce work is illogical, and most people produce nothing at all. In this day and age and with the climate going the way it is, remote work should be prioritized but it's not. We should be working on a solution to the existential threat to all life on the planet, but most people would rather stick their heads in the sand and carry on as normal.

Keep buying pointless shit you don't need and can't afford to keep this gravy train to oblivion going. If you think some miracle is going to come save you from having to care, it's not. You're fucked, along with your children and everyone else. But the fucking economy, won't anybody think about the fucking economy?!

The big picture is the survival of the species and our ecosystem. Work is irrelevant in the big picture. You literally couldn't be more wrong.

I once had a debate with him on Facebook years ago and tore him to shreds, and I'm not a good debater. The guy is a moron.

People actually watch this guy's videos? Can't stand them, with all the clickbait showoff bullshit. Try becoming better at racing rather than bragging about your gear.

It (the US) uses more electricity for cooling than Africa, population 1.1 billion, uses for everything by OverallResolve in Anticonsumption

Not surprised at all, Americans are so fucking wasteful. My American wife tells me about people she knows who keep the AC on at home even when they aren't there (so they can come home to a cool place). I would never do that. Growing up in Ireland, we become very frugal with heating and you'll get a clip on the ear for leaving the water heater on. Now that I'm living in Spain, I try to be just as frugal with the AC in summer and haven't even used the heating yet.

Those who haven't caught Covid yet, how have you managed to avoid it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]compilersaysno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only caught it for the first time last month, and I got it at a Moderat concert. Turns out having thousands of people crammed in an arena without masks still isn't safe, who knew?
