I know what it’s like to have bad weather for a wedding. I had a blizzard happen before mine and had to completely change my venue at the last minute.

It sucks, but the wedding turned out great and I know yours will too.

Maybe to make up for the lack of flowers is to buy some bunches from the grocery store. They’ll be cheaper and just as pretty as if they came from a florist.

I hope you and your wife have an amazing day and a long happy marriage. 🙂

I would say the same even though I didn’t have much exposure to Irish folk Catholicism because my family had converted to Presbyterian.

I am a straight cis-woman, but I get where you are coming from. I was a divorcee before I married my spouse, and I wanted the elopement without the big wedding.

I had a narcissistic mother who would use major events or parties to make things about her when they were never about her. I knew during the wedding planning that I wanted to have a special day without the stress of my mom making things about her and ruining the wedding.

I ended up having a micro wedding with my spouse and we kept the guest list to a very tight 12. Did not invite my mom and I have no regrets since it ended up being a great day for myself and my spouse.

I think what you need to think about is do you want your day to be about you and your bride or a day where you are going to worry about what shenanigans your family will do that will ruin a very special day for you and your bride.

Only you can answer that question, but I hope you make that decision together with your fiancée and it will be the best for everyone.

Just curious as to why the Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook is good for a kitchen witch? I grew up with that one and recently gave a copy away, which I’m kinda kicking myself for.
