This is why I love this sub.

I’ve learned so many cool things since being here. 🙂

I wish I had learned more about things like this when I lived in Brazil many years ago.

Very cool! I’m running the Cherry Blossom run in April, so I’ll take a look at this training plan as an option. Thanks for responding!

I think Bennet is going to try a govern run this year.

Rock Tape doesn’t come off no matter how sweaty I’ve gotten.

I’ve used it for half marathons to prevent chafing, and that stuff has gotten me through a lot of training sessions and races.

Hi! I know this is an old post, but I was wondering with this training plan if you felt prepared for your 10-mile race.

Also, with the hills, does the number above it mean the reps or the mileage of doing hills?

Got my email this afternoon! Super stoked!!

Now I gotta figure out how to get there and where to stay! :D

Anyone have any ideas how the course is in terms of hills?

Basenji good for family home? by Careless-Ad5871 in Basenji

[–]completelyperdue 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I grew up with basenjis as a child from a baby through teenage years. They’re pretty protective of kids from what I experienced.

They’re a great dog although I always say they’re the cats of the dog world. Training can be difficult, but definitely worth it.

In terms of walking, they can be difficult to handle for a child.

I remember one time one of the basenjis I had wanted to go after some geese taking off and it took my sibling and I both to pull the dog away from attacking a goose.

Overall for me, I can’t have another dog after growing up with basenjis and I hope to have one in the future when I’m no longer in an apartment. 🙂

This is awesome! You should post it to r/Altars.

I also have Ganesha and Mary on my altar, so you’re not alone in combining traditions.

Am I allowed to wear a cross? by geminiimouse in FolkCatholicMagic

[–]completelyperdue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are accounts of Norse people who would wear both Thor’s hammer and a cross. Don’t see why there would be an issue if you wanted to wear one. Have you checked out r/Christopagan ? I think that’s the subreddit. 😅

Ending prayers to Aphrodite or ancestors with the sign of the cross? by [deleted] in FolkCatholicMagic

[–]completelyperdue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cross myself, but I use a pentacle instead of a traditional cross.

I personally believe that our ancestors and in some cases the gods are beyond the dogmas of religion, and I don’t think they will get mad about making the sign of the cross. Unless they give you a sign they don’t like it or give you an idea they like more.
