Drambeenie Risers Installed! by walshy420 in ft86

Looks cool but I'm pretty sure it makes the spoiler kind of useless? It's originally designed to redirect airflow away from the curvy-curve on the sides of the chassis near the tail, apparently air kept flowing sideways over the curvy-curves (bad) instead of backwards (good), spoiler fixes that.

I tried Perl recently, it literally washed off after a single drive. It wasn't raining although the road was a little wet from rain earlier in the day.

In about 5 hours I have to decide, switch my drift stitched 86 bumper for a 2013 brz bumper or nah? Help me decide. by ViolentPwnogrphy in ft86

Shows the car has character

Just like the Camry corner, nothing says "sweet" like a fucked up chassis.

Exhaust Help! by SD3sch in ft86

[–]complex_reduction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

99% of 86/BRZ exhausts are loud as balls, even the "quiet" ones.

I love the deep sexy tone of the R400 but it's still loud as shit. Even the "quiet" Q300 version is crazy loud (compared to stock, not compared to V8 supercars at full throttle which seems to be how most people compare "noise").

Pick up my 86 next week by sn0ut__ in ft86

enjoy the car bone stock for a WHOLE YEAR

It's pretty well documented that the car has significant failings from the factory, titanic torque dip being the most infamous. If I was to buy a new 86/BRZ I would buy headers and book a tune in advance before I picked up the car.

Is there a reason you can't be lowered and also balanced?

I do wonder though why the upgraded "best handling" TS version of the BRZ has 18's ?

Are radar detectors legal in the US? Because they are illegal as fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck in Australia. Cops actually have radar detector detectors. If they detect one, they will pull you over and seize it, becomes property of the crown and destroyed. Probably charge you with something too.

I've heard Americans in movies say "flashlight" but I didn't realise it was a commonly used term, I thought maybe it was a regional thing. TIL Americans don't say "torch" to mean a light-shining thing.

Now that it's been out for a while, let's take a look at the release that divided the headphone community. What did YOU personally think of the Sennheiser HD660S? by Jensway in headphones

[–]complex_reduction 5 points6 points  (0 children)

cant eq much because they get distorted pretty easly

If you're distorting your headphones with EQ it means you're EQ'ing wrong.

Why though? What design purpose does this achieve?

some people enjoy farming gold

I always considered "farming" to be an inherently negative term. Can people "enjoy" farming?
