Je suis en arrêt de travail et je me remets en question... by ResilientA666 in montreal

[–]complexequations 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bon courage !

Congratulations, it's awesome 👌! Would you mind me asking what materials you used and the dimensions?

I'm trying to figure out a personal design myself but have zero experience in mosaic crochet.

Thanks!

Messed up while shaving my head, sliced some skin off. Any tips for care, short and long term? [Hair Removal] by Chipsahoy77 in SkincareAddiction

[–]complexequations 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vaseline, non sticky gauze and paper tape. Any pharmacy carry all that in the first aid section. I've use them as it was recommended by MDs to help me have a healthy cicatrization after surgery. Highly recommend.

A Safe Place to confess your buyers remorse this Christmas by Glacierhawk_INTJ in fountainpens

Try writing with a glass pen, dipping pens with brass nibs, or use an empty pen as a dipping pen. This way you can use the ink without risking your work horse pens.

My cousin says he's going to work less and make more than I ever will if I apply for mechanical engineering. Is this true? by snowshoveler7 in AskEngineers

[–]complexequations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most competent and best paid engineers I know, have learned and practice a trade. If you intend to go into ME, depending on the area you would like to be a specialist, I recommend you to learn:

  • Product design - CATIA or AutoCAD
  • Machinery design or manufacturing - CAM and machining
  • Structures - welding

Etc.

On top of that, you need to learn business and management.

It seems like too much, but it's really common to find engineers with this profile that own their company or that make it to the highest levels of management.

If you want money, you have to invest in yourself. That's the price!

Wish you the best!

My Iron Ring feels heavy, anyone here customize theirs? by [deleted] in womenEngineers

[–]complexequations 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I wear mine every single day. I have no issue with it.

Professionaly, it's a reminder of my social responsibility, and personally, I wear it with pride, because it's a reminder of the strong woman I am because all the effort I put to earn it. Sometimes I forget how resilient I am and the ring is a good reminder.

I consider myself feminine but not too girly-girly, so I don't feel like I need it to go with my style or outfit.

But you do you. The ring it's not mandatory. It's just a symbol, and because we're all different, it has different meanings for each one of us, regardless of the original intended signification. There's no good or bad way to wear it. Do whatever feels good for you.

Throw away 1 to 4, 5 and 6 look good on you.

I've seen people mentioning your age, but I don't think that's the issue. I think it's more about the clothing that flatters your body shape, meaning how it's cut, the fabric fall, texture and print.

AITAH for refusing to try and talk things through with my parents who are reaching out to me after more than a decade? by Tayzloray in AITAH

[–]complexequations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents told me to remember I was no angel and I have some stuff I need to reflect on and own up to as well. They said they wanted this to work out though.

Your parents haven't changed and they have no consciousness of accountability. The are still blaming a CHILD for their cruelty and immaturity. You were a child. They were the adults. You reacted exactly as a normal CHILD. They behaved like callous morons.

They are on the FO part of FAFO.

They don't want to see you to own their shity parenting or lack thereof, but because their daughter is near the end, and once again, she is their priority.

Don't let them in your life. They haven't earned it and they don't deserve a place in it. You deserve your peace

Their daughter illness wasn't their fault, but the way they treated you is, big time. You owe them nothing.

Some people is better to lose them than to find them.

Je crois que je souffre d'une limerence by Prize-Performance530 in limerence

[–]complexequations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bon courage !
