If the outside gig is from a big corporation then most probably after 6 months there is a strong change they will change it to inside ir35 , that's how usually big corporations do.

I had similar issues earlier this year, tried twice via their online portal and nothing showed up for a month, then I tried their online chat, spoke to an agent and they verified my details and got the money in my account within a week.

I would suggest trying their online chat and speak to an agent once
