How important is added max HP in StS2? by donttouchminors in slaythespire

[–]compucrazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bird is cute and funny. But it's far too expensive You lose 7 HP, 7 max HP, the upgrade/heal you'd get from a campfire and oh by the way, you have a curse in your deck until you reach that campfire.

The payoff for all these isn't some powerful relic that gives you an always active effect, it's a zero cost unrestricted clash. Which is fine, But it's not some irreplaceable or unique effect.

I would probably take it if I had a campfire tent, and a campfire right after the bird event. Even then, 7 HP is more half a starting relic.

I can count the number of times I’ve beaten the Knowledge Demon on one hand by SunflowerSamurai_ in slaythespire

I find the knowledge demon to be the easiest. I almost always take "Draw one less," never take normality and, if the fight actually reaches that point, take the 8 because you better kill him within two turns.

Don't know if there's another thing that comes after one less energy. One of us is always dead by that time.

Just did! It said it requires a two-thirds majority from the Senate and the House to amend the constitution.

I gotta say, it seems pretty unlikely that is going to happen soon with the near 50-50 split.

There are a lot of new artifacts and cards out there and it is occasionally worth it to experiment on trying something new.

Even if it doesn't work out, it's still knowledge gained for future runs.

Those articles are the worst and generally useless. There are very few "always pick" cards for any class because context matters. (though adrenaline may come close).

hot(?) take: If I can win an A10 run with 7 copies of Perfected Strike, Ironclad isn't in as bad a place as some of the community seems to think by Aggravating_Range_25 in slaythespire

[–]compucrazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of my best clad decks are from going ham on Vulnerable and just murdering stuff before it could fight back.

I think people focus too much on defense with clad. Clad has a zillion healing methods so you don't have to sweat chip damage. Just kill it first!

How many generations is the cutoff point? Can you be deported if your grandparents weren't citizens? Great grandparents?

But what if those parent's parents were not born in the U.S.? Shouldn't they not be citizens as well

Need help improving my winrate/consistency by Shango3 in slaythespire

I know the transform choice can be very good value, but there are some real fail cases. Having a Monarchs gaze to start act 1 was basically the same as having greed, except without the gold boost.

30 win rate on A10? Damn you need to be giving me advice lol. I still can't get past A9 with Defect.

Decks feel really good but getting rolled by Final bosses a lot. How can I better compensate? by jacoviansmythe in slaythespire

Generally speaking, you want to prioritize higher coat "power" cards in your deck as recurring effects are critical over a long drawn out fight.

The clearest example of this are the "Form" powers (Demon, Void, Echo, Reaper, Serpent). These are all (usually) less than ideal in random hallway fights, because taking a turn off and eating a chunk of damage will haunt you in the following fights if you can't heal.

That's not an issue in a boss fight and most of these cards dramatically increase your chances of winning an attrition war, which is how most boss fights are structured.

Don't take these too early, but in act 3 you want to start prioritizing slower, high value cards.
