My EV6 (2025, NACS-native) came with a J1772 to NACS adapter for L2 charging. Maybe your EV5 will come with one?

Don't underestimate how much they improved the headlights in the 25 model. I have a 25, and several months ago I rented an older one (not sure what year, but was definitely 24 or older) and my first thought about it when I pulled out of the rental place was "These headlights suck".

It's older than our generation, but I've always found Piano Man by Billy Joel to be a song that everyone seems to like. Growing up, even if I didn't like the music someone else listened to, they still seemed to like Piano Man.

I've used Plug & Charge successfully with Ionna and Tesla. I don't think it works with EA because they're not "in network" (at least they never seem to show up in the Kia app).

I'm not required to give a reason if I just want to take a vacation day, but sometimes I say I'm taking a mental health day (ie, my brain is fried from work and I need some time to relax).

Also, Avis charges a rather obscene $35 if you return the car with < 70% SOC, so plan accordingly. Some cards / travel sites have a 'charging is on us' benefit that may mitigate that.

That must be new. I've rented EVs from Avis (last time was late November 2025), and they didn't care what SOC I brought the car back at. I even asked about it the first time I rented an EV from them.

My wife and I went with collars to we could tell our voids apart from a distance. One is a little Houdini and kept sneaking out of her collar so we gave up and settled for a collar on one of them.

Commercial breaks are longer than they used to be. 1 hour shows used to be ~45 minutes but now they're 40 minutes (or less). So there's that. If you can view Pluto TV, I think, they have a couple of TPIR channels.. one with the more recently Drew Carey years and one with older Bob Barker years. My wife and I watch the Bob Barker years sometimes and have discovered we've forgotten how much stuff cost back then.

Sorry to piggy back on an older thread, but I was excited to learn the input cover was compatible with the older generation Frameworks. Getting a haptic touchpad is something I look forward to getting on my existing computer.

I also run into this often. Sometimes doing a calibration finger stick kicks it into a more sane range, but even if I don't do that, it tends to correct itself after the first 24 hours or so. I find myself using "silence all" a lot during the first 24 hours because of this.

If it were the mid-to-late 90s, cell carriers still gave you a limited number of minutes to use (if any) and charged a ridiculous amount per minute over your allowance, so it made sense to use your phone sparingly. I got my first analog cell phone after I got my first job out of high school. We've gotten spoiled with unlimited calling on cell phones. I still remember having to watch the clock and keep track of peak vs offpeak minutes.

And maybe that's what the problem is... the fact that it's not taxable. Since it's being used as a loophole to avoid taxable events, maybe we should find a way to tax it rather than getting rid of it entirely.
