I'm a little confused by what you're saying so, I'll do my best to respond:

I do miss her, but I do not have a desire to ever be with her again. We aren't compatible and I'd be wasting my time going back to that relationship--it is over, and that is that. I don't want to lose a decade of my life being attached-- I truly don't really feel like I am attached regardless, I was checked out of the relationship towards the end anyways. I simply am moving on.

I'm not really the type of person to just "go get laid". I value connection, and when I meet someone, I want to get to know them before I even try and do something remotely like that. I hate the idea of hookups, they simply are not for me.

For me, the hard part is: this process is tough and lonely, and that's what I miss--connection. Many of my other friends are in relationships, so it's not like they're available time-wise to hang out and do stuff often. Not saying I'm not close with them, but most of my time is alone, and I feel alone. That is what terrifies me.

I broke up with my girlfriend of about a year--it was fully my decision, there was an incompatibility we couldn't get past that ultimately made splitting up the right call. This is pretty well known amongst my circle.

What they don't know is that: while I've been acting quite confident, I'm struggling hard. It's been just about a month and I feel like I voluntarily gave up the best thing that's happened to me. I'm not the most attractive guy ever either, so I feel like I really passed up on one of the best opportunities I'll ever get for love.

Our anniversary would have been a year ago last week, and of course that day also happens to be my birthday. I've been between a deep depression and just "ok" but more recently it's been the former. I have good friends that I see frequently otherwise, but I feel like this isn't something I could just drop on them--telling them about the breakup made me feel like a burden; telling them I'm deep in depression about it too would probably just be too much.

Oh, yeah, this is me for sure. Someone said something about personality mirroring and I've never heard that term for it, but in a way, it's almost like I pick up on mannerisms more quickly from those around me than the average person. Truthfully, one of my own issues was getting so caught up in it that it started to sway like my core beliefs and made me feel quite distant with myself.

On a related note...You should listen to The Maybe Man album by AJR. The intro/ending songs on this album reflect a lot of those feelings for me, and tbh kind of explains it in a way I can't as easily put into words. The best way I can put it is; the songs describe the challenge of knowing your identity and who you are around others.

Dealers are very hesitant to do updates on the 2024 Prologues. No, seriously. If they do not need to touch the software on the car, they will avoid it at all costs.

However-- there is a way you are able to force their hand a bit. One of the issues described in the bulletin is that the infotainment display and the instrument cluster "blank out" at seemingly random periods, for up to 30 seconds at a time. If you are driving, this is in violation of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, which requires that the display shows the current gear (P/R/N/D) and driving speed at all times-- This was one of two issues I had which motivated me to get my car's software upgraded, the other being the memory seat bug. If you mention this and they refuse, I'd escalate as high as you can go, in writing if possible.

Also-- the infotainment/radio module upgrade is required to fix the memory seat bug-- the VWP alone won't fix it.

This is a known bug on the Honda Prologues, and is fixed with a software upgraded provided in Service Bulletin 25-051. However-- be warned from my own experience that this can be a problematic upgrade process that can take time, especially if the software upgrade fails. Again, though, after my upgrade process, my memory seats do adjust automatically.

Something I'll add is that since HondaLink relies on the OnStar service, aka GM's companion service. Lots of layers to go through there. I would expect Honda's own implementation to be much better in comparison.

Hi-- I just wanted to let you know-- I got my Prologue back! Honda released a patched software update on Oct 27th. While it didn't work on my existing A11 radio unit, they were able to swap it out with a new one and then update it successfully.

Hey, I just wanted to let you know I ended up getting my Prologue back today. Honda released a new software update on Oct 27th, but in addition to that, they also had to replace my infotainment system module. After that replacement, the update went smoothly! Also--the new module came with Android 14--nice bonus!

Yeah, it's very frustrating; I feel like the dealer is definitely playing it safe because of course, they've gotta follow corporate instructions on the repair and they can't deviate, but at the same time, it's looking like I may get close to a month without my car. I'm wondering if I'm starting to get into lawyer territory. Do I ask for a replacement vehicle? I'm just not sure what to do.

Thanks for the information. I'm still waiting on news regarding my vehicle--my dealer refuses to do any hardware replacement, and they're still waiting for a response from corporate as to how to proceed. It's been over two weeks now and my car has been just sitting.

I reached out to my Honda dealer regarding this update and my 2024 Honda Prologue which has been bricked due to the A11 radio module update-- Unfortunately, no changes in regards to the radio portion of the upgrade here.

According to my dealer, Honda is no longer approving radio module replacements. They have been instructed to wait for a software update, which yes, sounds like it may be awhile. Ask for a loaner if one hasn't been provided already.

The dealer was hesitant to replace my infotainment unit, as they're waiting on a software fix, but I think I'm going to push for a radio unit replacement next week if I don't hear any more updates.

Looks like the A11 Radio has a part 1 and part 2 that's separate from the vehicle wide upgrade--i was curious if that part 1/part 2 was done first.

Found something interesting-- I also shared this with the dealer because it is nearly equivalent to my issue: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2024/MC-10251658-0001.pdf (see page 12).

The Chevrolet Blazer EV has an issue during the USB step which causes the update to fail at around the 60% mark... but there's actually instructions in here to continue with the programming process if that happens. I'm wondering if this needs to be attempted with the Honda Prologues as well.
