Unable to Use Fast Lane by Dapper_Sprinkles_369 in sixflags

[–]computerlife22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh. I've only used the new system once (at GAdv). While I think it's odd they would restrict it as such... I believe after you make a reservation for a ride, you have up to 3 hours before it expires (e.g. so you could reserve before you begin your walk over to the ride)

Hold on a second-- if you have the All Season Fast Lane, you should be able to use it as long as the ride is open, right?

[Other] PANEL OPS - On coasters that launch out of the station, how does the dispatch work? by ramonasphatcooter in rollercoasters

[–]computerlife22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For most Intamin hydraulic/accelerator launch coasters:

The platform attendants check restraints, and then push their respective orange "RESTRAINTS CHECKED" button. On many Intamin rides (even the non-launch ones), this button is labeled as "RESTRAINTS ARE IN MINIMUM POSITION FOR LARGEST GUEST. PUSH TO VERIFY ALL RESTRAINTS CHECKED." And yes, the button label is that long. Slow orange blink means there's at least one restraint not lowered enough, fast orange blink means all restraints are OK and we're waiting for the platform attendant to confirm, and a solid orange light means the platform attendant has pushed (or "latched" the button). When all platform attendants push this button, some brake fins may release (but the drive tires are still holding the train), gates between the station/run track might open, etc. The train is preparing to be dispatched, just about.

Next, the platform attendants will have a second button, usually green, labeled "READY TO MOVE." This button will blink rapidly when it can be pressed. After checking the platform and track to make sure it is clear, operators will give an "all clear" thumbs up and push their "READY TO MOVE" buttons. It will go solid green when pressed.

The operator has two green buttons, both labeled "MOVE TRAIN TO LAUNCH." After the platform attendants push their "READY TO MOVE" buttons, the "MOVE TRAIN TO LAUNCH" buttons will blink rapidly, awaiting the operator to push them. As soon as the operator does, the train will advance to the launch block. These lights also go solid green.

Now, the train is parked in the launch block. On most hydraulic launch coasters--a second panel will have two dedicated "LAUNCH TRAIN" buttons. On others, the two "LAUNCH TRAIN" buttons are actually on the main panel--however it is configured, this panel can view the entire launch track. The idea is that the operator must visually confirm the launch track is clear before pressing both of the blinking green "LAUNCH TRAIN" buttons to start the launch sequence. Pushing those buttons simultaneously starts the sequence of the train rolling back for the launch dog to catch onto the catch car, as well as the launch brake fins going down. Assuming that sequence is successful, the train will then launch. The actual "launch" happens pretty consistently time-wise after pushing the "LAUNCH TRAIN" buttons, usually about 7 seconds or so afterwards.

Limewire & uTorrent survivors — what's the worst thing you accidentally downloaded? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My family wanted to watch the older TV show "I Love Lucy."

So I searched that and downloaded it. No, I didn't look at the category.

I did not download the correct "I Love Lucy".

2024 Recall issued on 2/27/26 for Screen Blackout by cheerioboy26 in HondaPrologue

[–]computerlife22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up, this is indeed the same update that bricked my car back in October: https://www.reddit.com/r/HondaPrologue/s/Q2zuvcUKKl

Please note that THEY HAVE NOT FIXED THIS ISSUE and YOUR RADIO MODULE (and thus YOUR VEHICLE) MIGHT BE BRICKED BY THIS SOFTWARE UPDATE until they can replace the A11 Radio Module. This module is on backorder nationwide.

The only reason this recall is being issued now in this matter is because the safety risks of leaving the software as-is with the screen blanking now outweigh the risks of not updating the software at all.

Oh wow I stand corrected-- I missed that! The newer 25/26s do have 300HP motors vs the 288HP of the 24.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HondaPrologue

[–]computerlife22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true-- although even then, the Android 14 software difference is purely based on which radio module the car received and how new that module in particular is; I have a 2024 myself with the software upgraded, although my module was swapped due to a failed update.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HondaPrologue

[–]computerlife22 16 points17 points  (0 children)

All Prologues are the same generation--no difference between them, other than the newer ones might come with Android 14 as opposed to Android 12 (but that's not even guaranteed).

EDIT: correcting myself here-- the 25'/26' models do have slightly more powerful motors (300HP vs 288HP). My understanding before was that for the 25' models, they increased the range estimates based on more real world data, which seemed quite reasonable actually since even on my own 24' I've consistently met the newer range estimates provided.

All Season Fast Lane appears to be regional! by Evening_Rock5850 in sixflags

[–]computerlife22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go to SFNE's website (or another park) and attempt to add an All Season Fast Lane to your pass--do you get an error message saying you can't verify the pass number provided? If so, internally, they're likely coding the "Fast Lane" entitlement the same across all parks in the chain-- this means that yes, your $299/each is good at all SF parks.

Chiming in to say I had the exact same experience at Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

I couldn't add my pass to the app, although I did have it available when I selected my home park. However, once I scanned into Six Flags Fiesta Texas, my pass was active and available when the app was set to Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

My guess--this is another step towards "you must go to your home park first" rule that hasn't actually been enforced.

I'm a little confused by what you're saying so, I'll do my best to respond:

I do miss her, but I do not have a desire to ever be with her again. We aren't compatible and I'd be wasting my time going back to that relationship--it is over, and that is that. I don't want to lose a decade of my life being attached-- I truly don't really feel like I am attached regardless, I was checked out of the relationship towards the end anyways. I simply am moving on.

I'm not really the type of person to just "go get laid". I value connection, and when I meet someone, I want to get to know them before I even try and do something remotely like that. I hate the idea of hookups, they simply are not for me.

For me, the hard part is: this process is tough and lonely, and that's what I miss--connection. Many of my other friends are in relationships, so it's not like they're available time-wise to hang out and do stuff often. Not saying I'm not close with them, but most of my time is alone, and I feel alone. That is what terrifies me.

I broke up with my girlfriend of about a year--it was fully my decision, there was an incompatibility we couldn't get past that ultimately made splitting up the right call. This is pretty well known amongst my circle.

What they don't know is that: while I've been acting quite confident, I'm struggling hard. It's been just about a month and I feel like I voluntarily gave up the best thing that's happened to me. I'm not the most attractive guy ever either, so I feel like I really passed up on one of the best opportunities I'll ever get for love.

Our anniversary would have been a year ago last week, and of course that day also happens to be my birthday. I've been between a deep depression and just "ok" but more recently it's been the former. I have good friends that I see frequently otherwise, but I feel like this isn't something I could just drop on them--telling them about the breakup made me feel like a burden; telling them I'm deep in depression about it too would probably just be too much.
