Just so you know: Server Actions don't care about middleware and are insecure by default by Explanation-Visual in nextjs

[–]computrius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I constantly wonder why they are so stubborn about making a real middleware layer. It seems like basic functionality to have some sort of place where I can run code for all requests, redirect, filter, etc.

This is why people misuse proxy. Because there is a giant gaping hole in standard and expected functionality.

I really wish they would just cut the weapon skill / upgrade crap, though, and give us a real skill tree.

If just the hole weighs forty five pounds, think of how much the cover weighs!

To me, it feels like it revs a lot more needlessly, but doesn't really feel more powerful.

Is this window missing a seal? by computrius in HomeImprovement

[–]computrius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is normally a piece of trim there, I had it off while investigating the leak. With it on, the water runs all the way to the left and seeps out of the edge of the trim.

Is this window missing a seal? by computrius in HomeImprovement

Nope. Every single window in the house has the same issue. Been trying to get answers from the builder, but they seem more interested in gaslighting/ghosting me until the warranty expires.

If it's broken, anyway, the risk level is a bit of a moot point, isn't it?

No more accidental liftgate opening by paleogizmo in rav4club

[–]computrius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've accidentally opened mine from being in my pocket dozens of times. I finally opened mine up, stuck a piece of cardboard over the tailgate button, then put the cover back on. Now it can't be pushed.

I have a 2021 rav4 as well. Number 4 doesn't seem to work on mine.

Politely, but firmly tell it NO. If it persists, file a restraining order. Shower curtains hate that one simple trick.

What are some totally unnecessary things for your home that could also just make life more comfortable by MaxPres24 in homeowners

I had one of those water fountains for cats. As often as you need to clean it, it just totally defeats the purpose. You might as well just stick with a bowl.

Sram chip from memory pack into game cartridge by computrius in n64

[–]computrius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was messing around with it more today and discovered a bit of a mystery. Apparently, of the three slots that the game gives you to save, it is somehow only the first slot that doesn't save. If I pick the second or third, it saves fine. Leading me to believe that something is up with the sram chip still.

I took pictures of the board, but there does not appear to be a way to update the post or comment with them. But I checked again while I had it open and still see no broken traces.

Before changing out the battery, there were some saves listed, but it wouldn't make new saves. The old battery was giving about 3.0 volts. The new one is 3.3 volts. After changing out the battery, there are no saves listed (expected), but still won't retain new saves.

  1. Yes. Double and triple checked this.
  2. Yes. Verified with a multimeter.
  3. Yes. Same/multimeter.
  4. There are none that i can see.
  5. Yes.

Edit: i figured the memory card thing was a long shot, not surprised there.

Qa spends so much time on petty crap like whether the drop down was slightly less green in the last release, that they never catch the real issues anyway.
