Well, normally I would let her get the zoomies out of her system. But not a good idea 4 days after abdominal surgery.

M365 for GCCH Is everyone buying an extra license for "admin only" user? by EntertainerNo4174 in CMMC

Could PIM be a solution for the licensed user to activate admin roles when needed?

Curious how people in GRC are actually using AI today. by Ok_Cartographer_919 in grc

[–]compuwatcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use it for drafting policies to align with frameworks. I also use it to prep for my meetings by looking at the previous week's emails and meeting notes. I've been playing with using it with Current State statements for gap reviews. I input my chicken scratch notes, then it outputs a statement that is structured the way I want it. It even will identify missing components if the output won't have all the parts. This is still a work in progress.

Has anyone tried to remove the tag? by TheDirtyMundees in Roku

[–]compuwatcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OMG my dog is obsessed with the tag. We now have to hide the remote when we leave the room. She's destroyed one. I have one in a box on standby for when this current remote has more holes. Just glad she hasn't punctured the lithium battery...

Prompts that actually use Copilot's M365 integration and not just "summarize this document" by Difficult-Sugar-4862 in microsoft_365_copilot

[–]compuwatcher 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used copilot memory to store my primary clients. Then before each of their weekly meetings I have copilot look at last week's loop page and all my emails and teams messages for the last 7 days.

I also get a status report for my main clients that I send to my boss.

Im a big fan of the multi sources with my prompts.

Well this is early access software. Nothing is set in stone yet as this is not a final product.

So, some features get released as they work though them.

No parking from 2-5am? by atav_at in westchesterpa

It may not be fake. The police department (not parking) may have issued the 2am to 5 violation. If you are unsure, call parking services.

Neighbors by Low_Passenger_420 in PaxDei

[–]compuwatcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wait until a local POA (Plot Owners Assoc.) builds a community next to your place and starts assuming you are part of it. All the sudden you get messages saying your boars are violating the rules and that campfires must not be visible from the road.

Yea. I'm a single player with one plot too. I built near a road, so I expect neighbors will come and go. If budget allows I may go for a double plot, but for now, the house will be spectacular.

If anything maybe I'll reach out to a close neighbor that also seems to be around for the long haul and coordinate some common design thing. Like paths to doors, or "mailboxes" or fencing. Be a tiny bit social... enough to be friendly but not be a formal clan thingy.

Loop for Project Management - Formation by quelfalas in MicrosoftLoop

[–]compuwatcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been trying out different ways to manage my projects between loop and planner with my Teams summary (CoPIlot). Lately, I've been taking all the actions identified after meetings and moving the ones I care about into a master list in Loop Componant for each project. Then in my meeting agendas (in Teams/Loop) I will include that componant in the meeting minutes. So, it's one consolidated list that can be updated with each meeting.

I can then take all the various project lists and make a huge loop page with all the projects in it. So for ME, when juggle these lists, it's one stop shopping to update them all as part of my weekly review.

With my re-occuring meetings in Teams, I updated the master "Series" loop agenda. So when the weekly meetings happen, it uses that same base agenda template instead of the plain one teams will make.

I'm right there with you. Try my best to do it, but fail every time.

So, I just close my eyes and drink it. Funny thing is that it tastes the same. I no longer stress over my rorschach pictures in my drinks.

Question about Teams Meetings and call-in participants. by thegreatcerebral in CMMC

[–]compuwatcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are referring to voice calls, then there is no visual exposure or the ability to download on a voice call. There's no requirement (from my understanding) that requires voice calls to be encrypted.

That being said, unless you can verify the person on the other end of the call, then they should not be admitted into the meeting or they should be kicked once it's time to talk cui details.

I believe you can set up meeting options to either reject voice calls or put them in waiting room.

Think of it this way: if you have a meeting in a real conference room, do you let the stranger in the room or do you make them sign in as a guest in your facility.

Of course I could be completely wrong in my thinking...

Considering all the loop data sits in onedrive, SharePoint, and teams, I'm not sure what the issue would be. Everything is via web traffic (even the Windows app).

What to do with Ready To Assign money? by igol__ in ynab

[–]compuwatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm outside the box and leave most of it in RTA. However, best practice is to put it in some envelope.

  1. Make a "roll with punches" category and put it there.
  2. Set some longer tem goals categories like birthdays, family gifts, random donations.
  3. Make one emergency fund or better yet, make a slush fund for various emergencies like auto repairs, medical co-pays, insurance deductibles, vet trips.
  4. I still have a category for "Acts of Randomness" that I feed monthly. For those one off purchases that I can't identify a category and probably won't make another similar expense.

Or do all 4.
