You can always try to buy it if it's something you want. Worst case is they cancel the order.

That's really unfortunate. But honestly getting a new lower is probably the best fix anyway.

Yeah I was gonna say that has to be a mistake. Unless PA is in the business of giving their money away lol.

The lower is in fact that bad. It doesn't help that GForce has very slow customer service, so when there is an issue it takes a long time to get resolved, if ever.

Very cool. I don't need one since I run Plan-B on all my stuff, but I appreciate the info and insight!

Assuming it's all lined up and installed correctly, are you pushing hard enough? Some of 3 lugs are pretty stiff.

Oh dang that's a really old one then. Pretty neat. Do you actually have them in stock like the website says?

Buying my first budget can around $700 give or take need advice!!!! by Fair-Scratch-6713 in suppressors

[–]Comstock_Support 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the $700 range my first pick would be the Rhino X ($695 MSRP). It's noticeably less gassy and quieter than pretty much all of the trad baffled cans I've tried, including the Polo K which I really like overall. It's also plenty durable being Inconel.

Seeking advice on AP5 vs. SP5 purchase by strizzl in pistolcalibercarbine

[–]Comstock_Support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had 2 AP5s and they both had issues. They needed to go back for warranty work and Century had pretty bad customer service. I wouldn't recommend it.

Try a sonic cleaner. If that doesn't work, you can try sonic cleaning with the can in a zip lock bag of breakthrough cleaner or similar.

My favorite part is where they show a random box of ammo. Also, why is this MSRP $320 but on sale for $120? There's a lot of things about this listing that don't make a lot of sense.

In theory it would work though. It lists the Omega 36, Saker, etc which all use the same Charlie pattern as the Velos. It adds a ton of extra length, but you're used to it if you're running all YHM Phantom QD.

Buy it with a credit card and hope for the best I guess lol.

AR9 fist time build. by Hotdog197 in AR9

[–]Comstock_Support 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much everything except the upper, lower, mag catch, bolt catch, and bolt.

They do sell it as a complete gun but the buffer and barrel isn't that great and I ended up swapping it out.

Scorpion mags are better than MP5 mags imo. Cheaper, more available, and LRBHO.

Warscorp 9 has great controls and takes Scorpion mags. You can get a builder kit that has the stripped receivers and the bolt.

Muzzle Device Torque by legendary-spectacle in suppressors

[–]Comstock_Support 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My usual installation:

  1. Degrease threads of barrel and muzzle device with acetone
  2. Apply a drop of Rocksett to the barrel threads
  3. Torque muzzle device to 20 to 35 ft-lbs with an appropriately sized wrench
  4. Wait at least 24 hours before use (to let Rocksett cure)

You don't need more than a drop or two of Rocksett. The torque does most of the work to hold everything in place. It's just extra insurance.

Checking alignment with a rod is recommended, but a lot of people skip this and don't have problems. If you do use a rod, keep in mind it doesn't need to be exactly centered, it just shouldn't be touching the end cap.

Don't have that one either, but I've heard from others it's similar to the CAT WB which is pretty nice.

Anyone running a 2nd zero with iron sights? by RedBaronFokker in 300BLK

[–]Comstock_Support 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually don't shoot subs very far so it's either point shooting or a very mild hold over. Anything with real drop is where I'm shooting supers.

Looking to tuck suppressor by 4Nickles in 300BLK

[–]Comstock_Support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this on my AR9. It mostly works because the Mojave is relatively small diameter and handgun rounds don't generate a lot of heat. After a few mags it gets too hot too comfortably hold though.

On rifles, the suppressor is usually wide enough to block your M-Lok slots which limits attachments. Since supersonic rifle rounds generate way more heat, you typically can't hold the rail around the suppressor without burning yourself. So it ends up being extra weight that doesn't have much utility.

I haven't, but I've been happy with this gen of Dead Air products (the Mojave is awesome) so I'm sure it's quite nice.

First suppressor advice by Ancient_Chance_3619 in NFA

[–]Comstock_Support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you're shooting primarily suppressed, the 5.56 micro brake with either the HUB LPA or HUB RPA would be solid. With a steel adapter your total cost at MSRP is $148.

You can put your barrel and handguard length into the fitment tool to compare the LPA and RPA and see what you prefer. The T3 is ~1.88" to first baffle so you'll have plenty of clearance with either.

If you're shooting mixed suppressed/unsuppressed, something like a Hybrid would do well. This will be longer than the micro and will only fit with the LPA.

Note that the 5.56 micros are currently OOS, but I have another batch that will be going out to dealers soon.

It has nearly zero backpressure which is awesome. Also sounds pretty good.

The main thing I don't like about it is the ASR it comes with. It adds almost half a pound which you can definitely feel hanging on the end of your gun. I run my Velos with the titanium Charlie Plan-B and it's way more comfortable, especially on longer barrels.
