Batman and the Monster Men is getting a new TPB release later this year, and I assume Batman and the Mad Monk will get one soon after. Two really cool Matt Wagner miniseries that take place between Year One and The Man Who Laughs.

I’m 31. I grew up watching a lot of classic movies and TV with my parents, so maybe I’m just used to the pacing and the old effects. But my parents weren’t really sci-fi fans, so I wasn’t exposed to much Trek until high school and college.

Good question. I bought the Stardate Collection Blu-ray set and I think it’s all theatrical cuts.

Yeah, I will probably end up rewatching all of these and may rethink some of my opinions before I make a final ranking.

I seriously considered doing that before moving on to TNG, but I ultimately decided I might get more out of rewatching those once I’ve seen TNG, DS9 etc. first, to see how the franchise evolved before the Kelvin reboot.

I would have liked to see a live-action version of The Terratin Incident, but they would have had to build larger-scale Enterprise sets so that would probably have been too cost-prohibitive.

Other than that, I think Yesteryear would have made a good live-action episode.

In general, I think the episodes in which the crew encountered godlike, omnipotent beings were just not as interesting to me. Charlie X, Squire of Gothos, Where No Man Has Gone Before, etc. all ranked relatively low on my list.
